This was the first of four distillery tours (1792, Four Roses, Heaven Hill) and was by far the most intimate of all four. Very informative, super nice people and great bourbon...well worth a visit!

This is a small family run distillery. This is now on the Kentucky Craft Tour. This place it just past the Heaven Hill distillery. The tour guide was nice and well educated on the family run distillery. The background on this distillery was quite interesting. Its not a long tour so tie this one in with a couple of other.I also think their products were well priced.Well worth your tme.

This tour was awesome. We did Woodford, Willett and Heaven Hill all in one day for a bachelor party. Willett was easily my and many others favorite. The tour guide was informative (I forget her name), interactive, friendly and really gave us a feeling that we were experiencing southern hospitality. The bourbon tasting at the end was excellent too. We were all given the same bourbon to try first (I think it was Noah's Mill) and then we had our pick of our second bourbon, from their pot still to the aged bourbon, they were all excellent. I definitely recommend this tour even though it's technically off the "Bourbon trail."

This was our first of five distillery tours in Kentucky & it was one of our best experiences. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable & very well spoken, I wish I remembered her name. The history of the distillery is interesting & the fact that it's family owned & run was impressive to me. They have two extremely friendly cats who will greet you upon entering the distillery & sit on your lap if you like. Willett may not be on the "official bourbon trail map" but get off that beaten trail & enjoy this unique distillery. Oh & out of all the tastings we did at all five distilleries, Willett's Pot Still bourbon is my favorite! Cheers!

While not on the "main" Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Willett is part of the Craft Tour. There's a separate passport for that tour (9 stops as well).It's just a mile or so beyond the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage center. Turn left, head up the steep hill on the mixed gravel/dirt/mud road to the visitor center-there are signs to follow so you don't get lost.Two tours you can take: $7 and $12 (you get to keep the glass on the $12 tour). Walk-up tickets available during the week and off season, but you might want to reserve your tickets online during the summer and weekends. Free for military with ID (not sure why all distilleries in KY do this and have never received an answer). No other discounts.Super friendly staff. You do not need to take the tour to receive a passport stamp, although the tour is informative and enjoyable. There are a number of steps so it is not wheelchair accessible and maybe not for people who have trouble with stairs.

Fun, small distillery with very informal tour.Nice tasting after tour. We were told that there are future plans for a bed and breakfast in this pretty setting.

Willett is a family owned, small distilling Company. We reserved our tickets online where you could choose to tour and taste ($7) or purchase your souvenir glass in addition to the tour and tasting ($12). If you are Military, don't forget your ID as you get to tour free. On behalf of our AF Son, thank you for that! The tour was interesting, but it really depends on your guide as to the information you get. We found out from a tasting at the Old Owl Tavern that there are several distilleries at which you can purchase their unique blends there, but no where else. Willett is one of them! A gentleman before us bought the last 11 year bourbon, so we settled for a 10 year. What a bonus that the Master Distiller was there to sign our bottle! The folks were very welcoming and kind. Their copper kettle is unique and designed by the owners! The bottles come from Italy and the printing done in Canada, but the Bourbon is made in the USA. Your tasting comes from the plethora of their stock with a variety of proofs. Great stop even if it's not on the trail, it's WELL Worth the stop!

Took a couple tours while in Kentucky, but this one took the cake. We were able to see how the entire process works and even taste a little bit of the fermenting mash. The staff was amazing, they were genuinely interested in teaching about every aspect. Can't complain about the tasting afterward either, they opened a 12 yr Willet and several others. This place just felt cozy, like Willet Pot Still does in your glass!

Like having a cousin in the Bourbon business. A warm greeting, friendly people, a great tour geared to what you haven't heard and the differences of a small family distiller compared to,the admittedly great, larger producers. Of course, some of the best Bourbon to be had. Couldn't ask for a better way to spend some time.

While not on the "official" Kentucy Bourbon Trail, you should definitely stop here at all costs. The Distillery is beautiful and there are a lot of different options for tastings. It's nice to see a small craft distiller doing their thing! Our tour guide, Mitch, was excellent and really made the tour enjoyable.

Very different from most of the distilleries we visited., but well worth the visit. Small scale production., but many products to chose from. Tasting was generous...and free! Liked many of their offerings!

We came to Kentucky for one thing and one thing only - bourbon. I surprised my husband with a trip out there for his 30th birthday and we had an excellent time. I had set up an itinerary of all the places we were going to visit and when he saw Willett on the list he made a comment that we could skip it. After the tour he proclaimed how that would have been the biggest mistake he made in a long time. It's a very intimate tour and nicely done. Our tour guide was wonderful and answered every question thrown her way. The bourbons after the tour were fantastic as well. At the end of the trip I asked my husband which of the 7 distilleries we visited was his favorite - his answer? Willett. Don't miss this one.

A full tour is provided for $7, incl samples of their bourbons at end [free for seniors]. Tour starts showing the mash mixers, the fermentation process, to the distillation still, to putting into barrels, then to the rickhouse. It ends with a tasting. Their product is very good.

I have been a fan of Willett ever since seeing their bottle design (in the shape of their still) and was very happy to make it to the distillery. Tour was very nice and it was awesome to see the still in person which I think is beautifully designed! They are building up the are around the distillery and it will only get better. I'd have to say the tour group was probably a bit too big as when it came time for tasting, the room was rather small so moving around became difficult. Was surprised by the amount of bourbon Willett actually makes (Noah's Mill, Rowan's Creek...) so definitely would recommend a visit!

Unlike any tour we've taken. Small, hands on, exactly how I would have envisioned. Great tour and fantastic whiskey. Highly recommended over some of the big box tours.
