karen's book barn & java stop

I wish we had discovered this charming stop when we had more time. There was a wonderful selection of books, great coffee, and friendly service. I would have loved to spend the afternoon there with a book and coffee while watching the variety of customers.

Karen has been running the book barn and java shop for a number of years. Most of the books are used and sold for half price or less. Karen will order any new book you ask her for and have it in a few days or a week. She can pre-order popular books before the publishers release. Her coffee is delicious, comes in flavors, served hot or cold and she has frozen drinks too. I had a frozen Chai yesterday that was out of this world! She offers low fat, nonfat, and sugar free as well.Sometimes Karen is able to offer a treat of a cookies or other sweet but I usually arrive too late in the day to benefit Prices are competitive.

Come enjoy a book store with local talent and a ever changing book collection. You will have fun looking because it always is differnt. The owner is very kind and fun to talk with. The coffee and tea get great reviews as well. Come get a taste of the local area and read a good book.
