We stayed in the cottages over a cold, but sunny weekend in December. The amenities and comfort of the cottage were surprisingly superb. The lodge restaurant had variety and delicious meals. We hiked on a easy scenic trail down by the Bible College with our dog and children (3 miles round trip). Check in/out were simple and the rangers were friendly and helpful. We will go back again!!

I grew up around this park and out years of travel still think it is one of the best. Chain rock is awesome especially if you know the history and even better when your in downtown Pineville looking up. Funny now that they thought the chain would keep the rock from falling on the town. Amazing at how the got the chain up there and the work it took to make Chain Rock happen.

Visited only for a few hours to see the fall leaves. Gorgeous--a kaleidoscope of colors! Didn't travel too far into the park due to time constraints, but came away with my best pics this fall.

I have been several times but it never tasted good. Ever. Today I had a burnt dried out hamburger. There is not redeeming quality except for the fact that they serve alcohol in a dry county. The food is consistently bad and the service leaves much to be desired. It's a shame the state is missing out on an opportunity to make money.

No as advertised, out of date, restaurant extremely slow, no naturalist service, no nature center, minimal decent trails. Better to go down the road to Cumberland Gap. The rooms clean, but way out dated.

The forest in this park is beautiful, and the trails very well maintained. There is also a great deal of variety in difficulty of the trails from short and fairly flat to long and slightly steep. I believe that they have almost 20 total. For a really neat walk, be sure to check out the trail along Clear Creek that runs where the train tracks used to be. It's an area where you can "feel" the history and still see some of the old bridges and tunnel.

Ky has some of the best parks in the country. Pine mountain had nice trails (we went on and liked the chained rock, living stairwell, fern garden and honeymoon falls trails). Beautiful mountain views, nice wooded trails, ferns, two waterfalls highlighted the trails. Nice lodge with good food and a well-maintained pool. Waisioto winds - the golf course is wonderful. One of the best in the state. Would come again. Think we would try a cabin - walks in the lodge a little thin.

Just got home from visiting. Nice drive up the mountain and so worth the drive. Beautiful mountain views, hiking trails are well marked and the air is fresh. Going back in the Fall for the foliage.

We just returned from our family reunion at Pine Mountain State Resort Park & it was a real hit! Although they have endured a major flood from this past winter they have adjusted well. We love they are pet friendly! The lodge rooms are very well equipped, but the cottages & cabins are the best. The pool is perfect! We also enjoyed the trails, golf & the dining is very tasty. You won't be sorry if you visit! Greg at the front desk is wonderful as well as Jeremy in the kitchen & Jaime with group sales. Very accomodating to all our needs.

So disappointed in this trail. The trail is down hill all the way. Got to the end and found out you had to climb up a massive rock. We weren't equipped to do so. No safety precautions around. So we turned around and never saw the chained rock.

Pine Mountain State Resort Park offers the very best scenery between Cumberland Falls and the Cumberland Gap. The winding road will slow you down so allow plenty of time to see spring wildflowers or the autumn colors. Enjoy a meal looking out over the unspoiled view.

If you like hiking in the mountains or having birthday parties then you will love it here..it is never really crowded and great places to go hiking, just watch out for the snakes. some of the playgrounds are old and outdated but the scenery is just beautiful...

By boyfriend and I just got back from a weekend at Pine Mountain. We stayed in one of the cabins and brought his dog with us. The cabin was cozy, clean and warm, despite the winter wonderland outside. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The trails were beautiful and some were quite challenging just due to their grade. The road to Chained Rock was closed due to icy roads, so we were unable to see this attraction (and the other side of the park). Due to the closure, we were able to see most of what we wanted to see in one day, but had the other side of the park been open, or the pool/dining room we would have had a full weekend. Very beautiful and peaceful place!

We made a day trip to check out the park. The lodge is very nice(though we did not stay over night) we took in the awesome view from the restaurant. Though we only had drinks and an order of onion rings, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Kentucky state resort parks always have great views!

We stopped here after we made a wrong turn leaving Cumberland Gap Park which is only about 12 miles away. This place is gorgeous! We hiked to the chained rock, beautiful trail and great views. We stopped in the lodge, it was very nice. They also have cabins. It was very quiet here. (perhaps because of the time of year?) We will definitely be back for a overnight visit.
