blue grass railroad museum

I took my grandkids on the Christmas train last December. That was the biggest waste of time and money EVER!!!!! The cars were dirty and smelled bad. We could barely hear the Christmas music and the elves didn't know the words to the songs. All they did was stand around. The ride was very boring, a few miles forward and a few miles backward, and not scenic at all !!!! The kids across from us went to sleep!! And the treat you get is a candy cane. After we got back to our car, I noticed that mine and both of my grandkids coats had black grease all over them.

We enjoyed the cars, etc. at the museum. Reminder of days gone by. The indoor museum was very interesting. Got some good pictures of things I recall as a child. Took the train ride. Not very scenic but we had a good time. The man, along the track, that waved an American flag was an added attraction. The conductor in our car was so much fun to talk with. He wasn't a railroader but he was informative.

We were on the same train ride that broke down. There were bad reviews posted on the website including ours that were taken down and replaced with pictures of the next days ride. I stated in my review that the staff was rude and unprofessional, that the pictures on the website were a misrepresentation of what we got, along with the teenagers who didn't make the experience any better. I got at a response from a staff member who by the way I never talked to just reconized her. She stated "its morons like you who contributed to the panic on the train and i hope your family never comes back" We were dissatisfied and a little annoyed way before the train broke down. They were very rude and defensive when they were asked questions mostly due to the fact that no one knew what was going on...it was a passenger on the train who found a solution to get us off..this was the exact words relayed to us by a staff member. We will never go back and will warn anyone that ask.

For train lovers, this is a great place. Hands on things in some places for little ones is always a plus. Fun time just to see the big machines and watch the little ones react.

boring,boring, and not anything to see or do. I dont think anyone would be intertained with this place at all. dont waste your hard earned money here!
