We visited this park with two kids. They had a blast at splash lagoon. I think the prices are little high for no more rides than they have.
We stopped here for the winter camping that was available and we are hoping to get back in the summer with the kids to enjoy the racing and amusement/splash park. Camping was spacious and nice with paved pads, hookup and nice bath house with laundromat. The grounds are expansive and they have pretty good pricing for the amusement/splash park (around $31 per person) We hope to make it back here.
This place has to be the most unique race track in the country. Such a cool setting. I had the best fish I've ever ate from the concession stand that specializes in fish and chicken.
The park is able to cater to RV traffic, truck and pedestrian customers. The drag strip spectator section is covered. The rides are plentiful and fun to ride, The water park is the best.
This is the place If you're a Harley fan...3 days of drag racing and unbelievable partying.I disliked very little.
The park is real nice for the kids, they love it! But it is rather pricey. The rides are good and the slides are really cool. But there's a cheap city water park not far away if your kids just want to slide and splash in the water for about $8 each. Anyway... the drag strip is where the action is at Beech Bend for a car-guy like myself. Bring your ear-plugs!
Lots of fun for kids and grown-ups. I enjoyed it as much as the kids. Restrooms were clean and placed well. Staff were very nice. The rides and waterpark were both great. Definitely worth a visit!
kids liked the rides and the water park. it's like going to a big county fair, ride wise and the water park is nice as well.
We stayed at the Beech Bend RV park (which is located on the grounds of the amusement park, water park and race way). They have limited 50 amp service and it took 3 tries to find one that worked. Our Rand McNally GPS took us to Plum Spring and even when we re-entered the correct address, the GPS was not accurate. It says you have arrived when actually you need to go about 1/2 mile further before you have arrived. The lady in the office was great and the grounds were fine. We used the laundry and everything there worked well. My main reason for commenting was for you to know not to trust the GPS and to know that if you come here on a weekend you should expect noise and crowds!
We stopped on the way back from our vacation. It was a great little park. we loved the water park and the rides. The Mini-Golf Course needs some attention but the park was EXTREAMLY clean and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had NO lines and rode every ride several times.
We started our day in the amusement side and the kids enjoyed the rides, including the bumper cars. The putt-putt golf course is probably the worst one I have been on. We went to the water park during the afternoon and it was wonderful - EXCEPT: the lifeguards. If you are used to the lifeguards being very attentive, like they are at most YMCAs, then you will be hugely dissappointed. We watch lifeguards with their backs to the water talking, flirting, looking at their whistles (bored) for extended periods of time. Watch your children!!
Crowded, a bit overpriced BUT we very much enjoyed out time there. Don't forget to use the free sunscreen! Two sides to the park. Amusement with rides and then the water park
First off, I apologize that your experience at Beech Bend was no better than average. We strive to create an excellent experience to all of our guests no matter when they visit. I am very sorry that you did not get to enjoy all of our attractions. We are affected by mechanical difficulties, just as any other piece of machinery would, and I realize this takes away from your experience. Also, I cannot comment on the cause of the White Water incident. We cannot lay blame on anyone, and our park is continuing to investigate the situation. At this time, we cannot assume anything, but the guest affected is now doing well.I hope you can realize that we had some issues on the day of your visit. This is very uncommon for us, and we would love for you to visit again some day!
The park is not the mega amusment park that you think about but is very good for what it is. They have free parking and sunscreen. The crowds are not too large, the food is decently priced and offered in several locations. The rides are more of a state fair nature with the exception of the Kentucky Rumbler, a wooden roller coaster. The rides are fun and most all are included with the admission. Military members get in free and the $30 entry fee is worth it. The water park has a wave pool, lazy river, several slides, olympic size swimming pool, a kids area and a jungle gym style tiki area for older kids. They also boast the drag strip and campground next door.
It had been many years since I had been to Beech Bend Park, over 30. After reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. We are both in law enforcement so are always a bit Leary of water parks with "Pervert Pete's" lurking about. So we spent the first day at Splash Lagoon. Very pleased. The park was clean and the kids loved the water attractions. The staff was attentive and polite. Enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to stay the night and added the additional day. We stayed at Holiday Inn Express and got the Beech Bend Rate. So today we headed for the rides. The kids had a blast! They are 7 and 9 and were able to ride the rides by themselves. For us older folks the roller coaster did not disappoint. A truly awesome day. Food is very reasonable and again was very impressed with the staff. The park is very clean. We even felt safe to leave our bag withe the attendant for the duration of the ride! Trait me that's saying something!I loved the fact that some of my best childhood memories were created there and now we have made new ones with our kids. We will be back! Only complaint is that the goats appeared to be sickly and should be attended to accordingly. But was a great time.
