downtown old church that has been refurbished and is beautiful. not a Catholic so can't say more about service times, etc., but clearly a treasure for downtown Paducah.

This beautifully restored Catholic church in downtown Paducah, Ky. will keep you distracted during Mass or a wedding or funeral you may be attending. Reminiscent of a Cathedral, it is a special place for a special occasion or just regular Sunday Mass. Forget the roundish nature of modern Catholic Churches, St. Francis is abut a gorgeous altar, real pews and 2 straight lines to Communion. Very friendly and hard-working pastor. Our daughter chose it for good reasons for her wedding.

I lived in Padcuah until the 1950s and return quite often. I learned first of all this church building has a Sixth Street address and not Broadway which I always thought it was located on Broadway. Well it actually is, it's just the mailing address that threw me. The building is much the same as it had been when I lived there and the church is still a vibrant part of the community and it is a real asset to the downtown area. I noticed there are serves daily and on Sunday. Would be worth a stop if you are traveling in and around Paducah.

We attended Sat evening mass and it was beautiful inside. It is located in the old town area of Paducah and contains so much history. the church bells were playing songs after mass.

We went to Sat. 5:00 pm Mass. A beautiful old church with stunning stain glass windows. This is the third chuch in this location with part of the orgininal Rectory standing. A short walk from the Historic District.

Spent a lot of time taking snaps of this and the great old Irvin Cobb Hotel across the street in my youth......my my even married my step-dad there! So glad Paducah is keeping their old downtown area so intact!

Well worth going inside to see..............................................................................................
