Just like Fat Man's Misery, you can't see this without taking a cave tour. But it's fun to crouch down and walk through this low lying ceiling of the amazing Mammoth Cave. We saw it on the historic tour.

This is a part of the Historic Tour, where the passage is low - you would have to bend down to a near knee level to pass. It is not too difficult.. just make sure that you do not have bad back or knee problems. I am not sure why this is rated as an attraction - since this is a part of the tour. What Tripadvisor should rate is each of the several Tours in the Mammoth Cave National Park. We took two different tours in the park; I wrote a separate review under the Park.

I am 6-feet tall and had no problem. The tour Ranger had us pass the word back to others when we approached it … good teamwork made it not too difficult. But … watch your head!

Went through on the Historic Tour. I'm 6-2, 245lbs., with a bad back. It lasted only about 10 feet and it didn't affect me at all. Just a titled path, for guides to hype tourists for something to look forward to. This was the only path were I did have to touch the rocks to guide myself through for comfort.

First you go through Fat Man's Misery and then Tall Man's? Yes, you will have to bend down, mightily. BUT the trip is well, well, worth it. Whether you are fat or slim, tall or short, the trip is a delight.

It was only for about 5 minutes, but felt uncomfortable. There are several other places mor5e adults, especially us tall ones [I'm 6'3] have to bend over. Bringing a cane would have been helpful.

Tall Man's Misery is on the Historic Cave Tour. It comes right after Fat Man's Misery. Tall Man's Misery is very narrow on the bottom, up to between your knees and your hips. But it also has a very low ceiling, so if you are tall you have to bend over to get through. But it is not very long. You are through it in no time. The entire section was not as bad as I imagined when the ranger was warning us about it.A lot of fun. We all had a good time.

There were several people in our group that had to duck down in order to pass through this. The kids that were part of our group had a lot of fun walking through and seeing grown up's difficulty traversing this part of the cave tour.

This area of the cave is really cool. I'm 6'2", and this part was fairly challenging. There are places where I had to walk down the stairs backwards. A must do!

This was what my 7yr old called it. I am 5'8" and spent a good amount of the time ducking through this part of the Historic tour.

I'm not too tall, so Tall Man's Misery was pretty pleasant for me. It was definitely better than Fat Man's Misery, but even that wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the tour and getting to experience these various parts of Mammoth Cave.

This is part of several different tours at Mammoth Cave National Park, we did it on the Historic tour. My husband is 6' 3" and had no problems, the very low part is not very long. We loved this part of the tour and it was my kids favorite part of our vacation!

Part of the Historic Tour. Fun! The tour is very worth the small price. The guides are very knowledgable and fun.

Not a problem and I am 5'9; I even have had back surgery just 3 years ago and the bending did not bother me. Saw folks well over 6" complete the passageway without difficulty.

Again like Fat man's misery, amazing that people found these things back in the day and made their way through this monsterous cave.
