The 9 to 10 hour, 24 mile horseback ride to the beautiful White River camp site was the longest of my life. A delicious dinner awaited us, as it did each evening. Amy Mills is magic in the camp kitchen. Their horses and mules are well-cared for and perfect for the steep, rocky terrain. The deep family knowledge of the area, its plants, landmarks, animals and history made our time there special indeed.
