yellowstone raft company

I had never rated before but my husband had as it appears had everyone else in our boat but I absolutely loved it and going by the general mood of all in the boat it's fair to say they did too. Before we started I was nervous about flying out of the boat or the raft tipping over but it felt safe the whole time, but at the same time was challenging and defiantly thrill seeking. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the park looking for a great afternoon activity to do

We did the full day trip for $80. Our guide Carter was great. He was entertaining and had some great stories. About half way through the trip, we stopped at a small river beach and had lunch (included). The van ride to the river drop off point is 2-3 minutes from town. The van ride back was quick - it seemed like 20-30 minutes. They let us borrow wetsuits and fleece sweaters to keep warm - booties were $2 to rent.Great trip!!!

Had a great couple of hours whitewater rafting down the Yellowstone River. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (12 & 9) plus there were 2 other and a guide. The guide was great and really added to the fun.We got a little wet but the supplied gear kept us (fairly) warm. Our 9yo persuaded the guide to let him spend some time in the river, holding on the boat, which he really loved - we were slightly nervous but we were in very good hands so all very safe.It was great to see a Bald Eagle and an Osprey and numerous other birds.This was a first for my family and we would certainly do it again, particularly with Yellowstone Raft Company.

There were 6 people in our party. This company sent us an email 2 weeks before our set day, explaining what clearly would be needed. Was rapid in responding to interactive emails. Once our day arrived we got set up to go. Liz was our guide and what a fantastic job she did. She was personable, funny, and very well informed about the history on the river and the surrounding area. The lunch was really good also. I would not recommend this type of trip for children under 7 yrs old, but after that GAME ON! I wouldn't have missed this for anything! The white water was enough to feel a bit adventuresome but not so extreme that it felt dangerous.Both guides worked their arms like crazy and gave all of us a GREAT time! We had a fantastic time on the full-day trip. Our guide, Liz, was well skilled, informative, and fun. The lunch provided was delicious. I highly recommend the full day trip through Yankee Jim canyon. The canyon was the best part of the trip and even with the full day we weren't ready for it to be over.

Our family of 5, including a 4 year old, all took the Scenic River rafting trip. Everyone had so much fun! When granddaughter gets old enough, we will go back and do the wild water trip! I have rafted with many of the countries best rafting companies, and I would rate the Yellowstone Rafting Company amoung the best. Really impressed with their knowledge, promptness and friendlyness. I had never been Whitewater Rafting before and was a little apprehensive during the safety brief. However this all added to the sense of anticipation. There were 11 of us and Captain Jack and it was a thrill from start to finish. THe whole thing lasted about 2 hours but it flew by. The guides were fun and enthusiastic and were careful about safety and comfort. And we got real value for money! Anyone in the Gardiner, Montana region should take this trip down the Yellowstone River.

We decided to try rafting with young children (ages 4-8) and seniors and couldn't be more pleased with Yellowstone Raft Company. I can't compare them to other local rafting companies, but we were satisfied. Do your homework to get the best rates and experience!Don't expect class 4 or 5 rapids. Even the class 3 rapids are quite mild and can be avoided if you choose. This trip is a great introduction to rafting on a mild section of the Yellowstone River. Enjoy the scenery on the mild sections. Our guide, Jack, will tell you as much as you want to know about the area. He even spotted a bald eagle.Half and full day excursions are available. Don't forget to tip your guide!

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 & 6) did the 2 hour scenic trip. We had a great time. Our guide, Ben, did a great job. It was a fun trip down the river and the kids loved swimming in the river. I would recommend this trip to families with young children.

I was impressed with this company. We had met a young lady the previous evening and were talking about going on one of the raft excursions. Found out she worked for this company and would be happy to be our guide the next day if we so wished. We liked her and were very happy we did so. This was my first rafting trip ever and I loved it. I can't wait to try something a bit more difficult and full day vs half day for the next time out!

Ask for Carter and you'll have a great time on the River. My family had a blast. The staff was excellent, highly recommend this outfit.

Our Scout Troop traveled to Yellowstone and spent 2 days doing whitewater with Yellowstone Raft. They were extremely helpful and accommodating to our large group (26 scouts, 14 adults). The guides were fun for the boys, and informative for the adults. It was a wonderful day on the river, and we saw several bald eagles. Ask for Jack the guide if you can. Experienced and fun to talk to.

This is our second year in a row whitewater rafting with the Yellowstone Raft Company. A great time had by all! They are so inviting and the experience will last a lifetime. Highly recommend taking a trip with these great guides!

My family couldn't have been happier with our experience with the Yellowstone Raft company. Not only did we always feel safe in our gear, equipment and knowledgeable guides, but we were entertained by their humor and happy personalities. Monica was our guide and was a particular pleasure, although it didn't seem there was a bad choice in the bunch. Couldn't possibly tell you of a better way to spend a warm Montana afternoon.

We had a blast! Took kayaks down the rapids the first half and then jumped in a raft for the second half. Guides were fun, knowledgable of the area, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great (and safe) time. Very patient with our complete lack of knowledge of kayaks. We'd definitely use this company again.
