Spent a day riding with one of the owners, Mel. Started the day off with a talk about horse psychology and people psychology as it relates to riding. I've gone on rides before where you just get on the horse and go, but let me tell you the knowledge that I received at the beginning of my day with Mel and his horses was priceless. This is a guide who knows horses like a man knows himself. A half day ride turned into a much appreciated full day excursion. The stories he told about the area and his experience as a woodsman made me feel extremely secure (this is a Jersey Girl here!) and confident that I would have a great experience. I highly recommend Mel and Chris's operation, as her hospitality is tops in Montana/Wyoming/Idaho, bar none. It's on my list to get back there this summer and hopefully help out with a cattle drive like I did that same summer, a few weeks after my initial ride. Mel gave me the confidence to do the drive thanks to his advice when we first rode. This place and experience should be on everyone's bucket list, if not their annual list of things to do out here.

I had a wonderful time with Centennial Outfitters on a horse back ride with my family. Our guide Casey Smith was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I was even more impressed that he took the time to make sure we were able to get photos to document our trip. We rode for most of the morning before stopping in camp to have a very yummy lunch! We saw lots of cute critters and as I said before I had a wonderful time!!! We will be back for another adventure.
