medicine lake national wildlife refuge

There is an orientation centre with brochures, etc. The bird sanctuary is quite large and has roads criss crossing it at intervals. Lots of swans and other waterfowl and pheasants in the dry areas. A very pretty place.

Medicine Lake is great for bird watching, especially waterfowl. It is most easily visited by car. One must be careful to go when the roads are dry since they can be too muddy or even closed due to high water.
