We stayed and also had dinner here with friends for my husband's and my birthday. We have always enjoyed dinner here and have stayed stayed several times in the original lodge. I have to say that the new addition for dining and accommodations are even better! This place is great for a quick "vacation" from the stresses of life.
We have eaten at the Gallatin River Lodge on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always top notch and I cannot say enough about the quality of the food. The wait staff is very personable and truly care about your dining experience. We just had Thanksgiving brunch at the Lodge and the food was amazing.
After every skiing trip to Big Sky, I check out of my mountain digs, hit the Hampton Inn in Bozeman so to avoid 4 AM blizzards while trying to find the airport's single sign to catch one of those going-east 7 AM flights, and have dinner at this marvelous institution(Attn: Belgrade municipal government - quit being so damn cheap and throw a few more signs towards Big Sky to LEAD PEOPLE to your airport). Wonderful atmosphere, fireplace, knockout food and wine, and such a nice way to finish a week with friends, lovers, and fellow skiers, what have you. This is the classiest place in the Big Sky/Bozeman area that I know of. It is hard to find - a Garmin is very handy and don't get confused when the road is not longer paved - it means you are almost there. Treat yourself and your friends - call ahead for a dinner reservation dinner at the Gallatin Lodge. (Attn: TripAdvisor - you classify this as a lodge or what have you - it is a WONDERFUL restaurant).
Out of town, but worth it. Good menu selections. Have never had a bad meal. Eat here a couple of times a summer.
What an awesome place. The Gallatin River Lodge is a beautiful spot, just outside of town. The lodge itself is clean, well-appointed and full of charm. We had a fireplace in our room and a full-wall row of windows that looked out over fields full of snow and grazing deer and even the occasional coyote. And the beds were insanely comfy! But what really makes this place great is the staff - they really went above and beyond. We were visiting Bozeman to ski Big Sky (It's a super convenient location for the mountain!) We ended up arriving a day earlier than planned and Stephanie went out of her way to make that possible for us. Jenna and Keith both cooked us amazing breakfasts and were very flexible with our timing so we could leave early to head up to the mountain. Keith even cleared a path to our car for us after a few inches of snow fell overnight and sent me out the door with a full mug of hot cocoa! We did eat in for dinner one night - thanks to John and Alex for an amazing meal! We had lamb chops and turkey pot pie - both were delicious. It really hit the spot after a long, cold day on the slopes. The whole staff was just overwhelmingly friendly, full of smiles and were incredibly accommodating. They run a beautiful lodge and we cannot wait to come back again in the future. Hands down one of my favorite lodges I've ever stayed in. It's worth every penny.
Thsi is a wonderful place, not only the resaurant, the entire place. Beautiful grounds with wild animals on property. When we were there last week at dust there were dear, rabiits and a owl in view. The service is as good as the food. A high $30.00 corkage fee, but the wine list is excellent. No need to bring your own. Everything is made in house. Looking forward to the next phase of growth. Great place to find wild game meats, always prepare well.
We had Ryan as our guide and he was awesome. He put us on the fish, told us how to catch them and we did. Everything was taken care of, quote simply the best fishing ever.
The only item we ordered that we unanimously liked was the pan seared gorgonzola scallops. The rest of the items on the menu lacked flavor or just missed the mark.
