We enjoy all three breweries in G. Falls, but Bowser is certainly our favorite! I'm not a huge beer fan, but I love the chocolate stout (not always on tap), jalapeno hef, and strawberry blonde. Recently the brewery has started serving food/although this is a bit of a work in progress (i.e. sometimes they are plain "out" of food). But, it is DELICIOUS so far. Love the laid-back atmosphere, local art displays, and friendly staff. Tuesdays are usually trivia night. Our fav. G. Falls hangout.
Bowser Brewing Company is a great place!!! I don't drink beer, but I LOVE the house rootbeer!!! Our food was also fantastic!! And, the environment is classy and comfortable!!! The Bowser Family has done Great Falls a good deed by opening their community oriented business!
The beers are absolutely brilliant. I cannot get enough of the Jalapeño Heff it is best beer I've ever had. They need to take that beer national. The only draw back is they don't distribute cans like Kettlehouse. Enough said go get one.
While visiting our son and his family in Great Falls we stopped in to check out the beer and we were not disappointed! If you go, try the sampler so you can taste a variety. They don't have a food menu but rather have two local restaurants that deliver. We were there for lunch and ordered from Big Mouth BBQ. Oh my gosh! The best BBQ brisket sandwich I've ever had. Everyone loved their lunch selections so I highly recommend checking them out. My only criticism of Bowser is that we were the only people there and our server didn't really engage us or tell us about the beers and the brewery. I think that was a miss but overall we'll definitely go back during our next visit!
We came here after picking up a brewery map of Montana in another town. Great place to hang out in Great Falls! 5 beers $16 can't be beat!
My wife and I are from Great Falls but no longer live there - we were thrilled when we heard that a brewery had opened there and have made it a point to visit Bowser on almost every trip back we've made since it opened, even shuttling a growler between Bozeman and Great Falls practically every trip. It's an awesome place to hang with friends, shoot the breeze, and try some new beers. The Jalapeño Hefe is my personal favorite, I'm glad they're making it on a regular basis now (I think). I've tried most of the beers there over the course of my visits, and as with any craft brewery, some I've loved, some I've liked, some I've been ambivalent toward, and some just haven't done it for me. But in my mind, that's a good thing - they're trying lots of things, have a diverse selection of options, and aren't afraid to think outside the box. The location is simple yet nice - it's an open space with plenty of seating, a cozy fireplace area, complimentary popcorn (with lots of different seasoning options), and even live music on select days. There's also room to sit outside, though due to the proximity of the busy 10th Ave, we've never done that. Finally, Bowser also makes homemade soda and have typically had one or two options available when we've gone. We think this is an outstanding idea - makes it easy to convince non-beer drinkers to come along on trips and is a great option for anyone serving as a DD.Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area - we think it's been a great addition to Great Falls.
I am not much of a microbrew guy, but the beers on tap here a pretty good. You can also get Big Mouth BBQ delivered if you get hungery.
My husband and I love stopping into Bowser on the way back from driving around town. The people are so helpful and let you try any one of the beers before you buy a pint. The Monday Military discount is great too!
I make it a point to try any local brewerys when traveling so I have enjoyed many pints throughout the state of Montana. This place does not serve pints, only 12 oz beers which cost more than the average 16oz. montana made craft beer... The beers are not bad, maybe a bit forgettable if you are a hop head craving a good IPA or pale ale. The service is good and the facilities are clean.
I love microbrews and included this in my tour of Montana. I was glad to see outdoor seating as I had my dog with me. I received prompt service, and all the beers sampled were distinctive and tasty. I am especially fond of IPAs and theirs was very good, as was the stout and amber. I bought a t shirt that I will wear proudly back in Florida
Thanks to Trip Advisor, we stopped for a quick lunch. We were really shocked to find out that Montana does not allow Brewries to sell food! But these folks are great business people! Bowser Brewing Co. has menus from Big Mouth BBQ and The Pizza Baron available at the tap room. You may order from either of these local companies and have them deliver to the brewery. Since they are so close to the brewery delivery is typically 5 to 15 minutes. My husband had Jalapeno Hefeweizen An American style Hefeweizen with fresh Jalapenos added to the boil. This beer is sweet and smooth with a hint of heat to finish. I had their Lemon Brewed Hefeweizen. These were terrific! Going back tonight to try more!
My husband likes to try the local breweries when we're traveling and this was a very friendly place. It was very open, clean and the ladies room was super nice & clean. The south side of the room is mainly glass windows so you can actually see the brewery, though I don't think they bottle their beer, just sell it on tap. The lady behind the bar was very informative & let us try a couple of different samples. Even the customers were friendly & informative about what to see in the area.
What a great place. Employees are extreamly friendly and it has a great atmosphere that is family friendly. A great family owned business and the beer is pretty great too!!
This place is open and airy, with just the right feel of a pub. I love that you can see where the beer is brewed! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I have been to numerous micro breweries in several states and this beer is the most expensive. We tried a few different beers and they ranged from good to average. Really small glasses. It is pretty nice inside but I would not call it an attraction.
