Yellowstone Cellars has great local wine but when you waok in it's like coming home. If you want an intimate date night or a place to meet old friends or make new ones this is the place. The music is always good and the atmosphere inviting. One of my favorites.
A wonderful winery with great tastes of red and white wine. If you would like you can buy a bottle or a glass and drink it there. Clint is very personable and will tell you the history of his winery and wines. Some nights there is live music.
Nice place, but hard to find and the time we were in there we waited a long time for help. The owner seemed nice but I don't think I will rush back
We just wanted a place to have a glass of wine and re-group, plan our trip. We werent even there a second when Clint , the delightful owner, introduced himself to us. Next thing you knew, we were part of the family. We spent a wonderful couple hours there getting to know him and his daughter Sarah. They gave us GREAT vacation advise, let us watch them bottle the wine, showed us the cellar. The wine was fantastic and the company was even better!! They were the friendliest people on earth. This was definitely a highlight for us weary travellers!
We were travelling to Alaska and collecting local wines from different states. Yellowstone is one of the best wines I've ever tasted and my personal favorite is Chenin Blanc. I personally like sweet wines like moscato and riesling but this is my first favorite off dry wine! This place is so neat and clean even the restrooms. This is a great stop for travellers to relax and an awesome place to hang out with friends and your special someone!
I live in Idaho wine country and visiting Billings was nice but I was missing a good winery. On my last day in Billings we found Yellowstone Cellars. Very good wine! I loved just about everything and bought an entire case because I knew my husband would want to taste everything especially the Malbec, Chenin Blanc, Carmenere... oh who am I kidding? I love it all!
Clint the owner goes out of his way to make everybody have a good time. They have a five flight wine tasting for just 5 dollars, and some wines by the glass for five bucks too. there are lots of fun events such as grape stomping, barrel wine tastings and they have live music nearly every Saturday. You can purchase a membership that allows you to use the site for free for parties. In the summer bring your own lawn chairs and enjoy the deck. You can also bring your own food or buy cheeses and other snacks there. It is a bit tricky to find as it is in an industrial area behind the Holiday Inn. Janis and Paul Strom
We went there pick up souvenir's for friends back home and were very pleased with our choice. The cellar is in and small business park but did have plenty of street parking for our RV. The proprietors were very helpful and kind. They even directed to a great little place in town to take the kids for lunch. If we were local it would be a great place to hang out with friends.
I got to see/listen to Wes Urbaniak one evening with friends while enjoying a sample of their wines. Such a neat place. I even purchased a membership. Wish I could go here more often. Nice job Clint!!
Yellowstone Cellars is located in a warehouse neighborhood behind the Holiday Inn off of the King Ave/Mulowney Lane exit. I went with low expectations for the wine and have come away surprised. The wine is as good as many wines I've sampled in other wine tasting regions like Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Walla Walla, etc. This is a can't miss in Billings. I'm a local in Billings and I try to make it down whenever I can.
The owner. Clint Peck is a true "salt of the Earth" guy! His wine is fantastic, his tasting room is top notch. This place is a true gem, if you Rein Billings, you really should stop here!
This is a must do if you are in Billings. Clint Peck (the owner) is a gracious host that is not only knowledgeable about his wines but also displays a real passion for his craft. His wines are as good as, if not better, than any wines that I have enjoyed. All of his grapes come from Washington state and are pressed and fermented at his establishment. My wife and I are very impressed and plan on starting our next date night there. Great wine and great company is guaranteed!
Yellowstone Cellars opened in Billings (I believe) three years ago. Owner Clint Peck is a knowledgeable, pleasant individual with a varied background. The winery is simple, pleasant and informal.Clint's wines are not your run-of-the-mill wines. The grapes are grown in Washington and the background and training come from his brother & sister-in-law who own a winery there.Yellowstone's offerings run the gamut and all are good, but the Malbec is wonderful. The wines tend to be released a bit young--rack them and let them age a year. Wonderful! Bottles average in the $20 range.
