Located next to the carousel for Missoula, Dragon Hollow has a wide variety of spaces to play in and on.
This place is fun, it's got a unique look and my kids loved it. The slides can get reallllllllly hot, and although there is a sign stating as much, it won't do your three your old any good until it's too late.
My 4 year old boy loved this playground. The main structure is big and winds up and down a tower-like building. My child loved to find his "secret" ways around it.
Went here for a birthday party for young nepheew, and another time for our young niece. What an ideal place for kids , and adults to watch or partake with the kids in the warmer months. Educationla for little ones, safe, fun, and a place for everyone to socialize. Covered picnic area and adjacent to the carousel for even more fun.Great time, and outdoors for all participants.
Dragon Hollow has the most beautiful historical carousel, known to be either the fastest in the usa or one of the fastest. of course, grab the golden ring, get a free ride! next to this is dragon hollow play area. they have different areas for different ages. it is very dragon / castle themed but also very hands on with things that make music etc. they also have over head misters for hot days that make the heat bearable! this is located right on the clark fork river and caras park where often there are bands playing outside and food being sold, usually there are also childrens nature crafts when there is an event. these are also free.
I take my grandkids to various places for outdoor play activities and this place (while the kids love it) has too many hidden areas for my comfort level. I once had to climb up into the play structure myself to locate my granddaughter. It needs to be more open.
This is a small, well appointed play area for children, with a special area set aside for toddlers. It is adjacent to the Carousel, so it's a fun way to spent an hour or two.
I liked the area the park was located. The parked is small and its .75$ an hour to park. But, there is only one way in and out so you don't have to worry about the kids running off. Its well kept and the kids played for hours. There is a toddlers side as well for the little ones! I would return the time we are in Missoula.
We came to the park after a ride on the carousel. Great location. And the park and play structure were so much fun for the kids. They kept busy running and playing and didn't want to leave. Loved that there is only one entrance into the park so you don't have to worry as much about your kids wandering out. The misters were a nice addition in the hot summer weather.
The kids had a great time! Wish there were more benches in the shade for adults to watch their kiddos.
A huge play area for kids to play. Multiple slides, a huge castle for hiding, climbing, and fun. Swings & tire swings. Bouldering climbing wall. Rope ladders and bridges. Can get a little hot for parents as shade is limited, but your kids wont notice or care, so bring a hat and enjoy. if it gets too hot the Missoula Childrens Museum is one block away!
A locally built play area which is suitable for most ages and physical abilities. Unfortunately most of the area is not wheelchair accessible but other than that it is awesome. Missoula kids actaully participated in the design process and the names of local folks who contributed are etched onto the fence pickets. Kids love it and it is a great place to let them safely blow off some steam.
Whenever we are in Missoula with our grandchildren we come here. It is a fabulous , safe, adventurous play place. Wish we had it in Kalispell.
I went with my sister and her two daughters a while ago, and the play equipment was very neat. I know I'm not exactly kid-sized anymore, but I would have LOVED to have been able to come to such a play area when I was a kid!
This delightful play area is unique in its design and attractiveness. There are two areas- one for very young children and another for ages three and up. The design is a huge dragon with an amazing variety of places to climb and walk. This can keep children busy for an hour or more and the Carousel for Missoula is immediately next door. So, plan to spend at lease two hours here. There are benches for adults to watch the fun their children are having. We always bring our grandchildren and other visitors here and it is free of charge. Facilities are right next door at the carousel.
