The pool at the Adams Center is a pretty nice venue for this meet. There was construction near the center but was not insurmountable. Parking permits for the lots close to the pool were provided by MHSA. Hope to return next year.
I've been to quite a few universities, and I have to say the UMT dining facility is one of the best, and healthiest, I've ever visited. They grow some of their own vegetables right on the premises, which you never see. They have lots of veggie options, and plenty of fast-food type of options for everyone else. The chocolate chip cookies were straight out of the oven - warm and gooey yumminess. If you're in the area, you should definitely check out this place out!
The pool area was crowded and very hot and humid. Beautiful facility. Parking was very easy. Since there was also a basketball game in the same area we had expected to had a difficult time finding a space, but they had people directing traffic and signs that designated while event you would be attending. We walked around the campus and it is beautiful. We went inside one of the buildings where they have all their trophies and it was very interesting.
UMT is a great school, but could be so much better. It has amazing history, some really great faculty, a beautiful location, and i think it is underrated as an educational institution.
Just do it! You can't stop in Missoula with climbing to the M! Yes it is a little difficult so make sure your up to it. Then take a good look at the city and the university from the top of the hill.
Surrounded by mountains, with town in "the bowl". If you are energized by college crowds, take a walk on the campus.
This is a little more challenging then a lot of reviews make it sound. The hike is pretty steep but well worth the time. Make sure you are hydrated and take plenty of water and wear a hat and sunscreen.
Very nice college set in the mountains. Great stadium and the hall of fame building and athletic museum were very nice. Small campus atmosphere. Very good athletic program.
Known as "The Harvard of the West," a visit to Missoula would not be complete without a campus tour. If you are really inspired, hike up to the big "M" on the mountain behind the UM campus...GO GRIZ!
The campus inspires me to want to go back to school. Instead, my children attend school there and I love to visit.
Visiting grand daughter at UM. People are so friendly. Just walking around campus students and others smile and say "HI". The GRIZ fever is everywhere. Clean, Safe, Friendly place. Classes are not too big and seems like great professors. No dislikes about this place. A great girls soccer team and Grizz football is super to watch. They have tailgate parties like no other place. So much fun
One of the most beautiful campuses anywhere but the fall is really spectacular. This is a medium size college but in the top ten percent of schools of journalism and forestry. Stay at the Doubletree Edgewater, right across the river and walk on the foot bridge over to campus. Dont forget your fly rod.
From the new Journalism School to the well appointed library and student center, UM is a school on the move into the 21st century.
I went to drop my daughter off at college. The campus is gorgeous, the atmosphere is one where the college students are there to learn. Definitely not a party school. People are very nice but we wouldn't expect any less from Montana.
The hike up to the M on Mount Sentinal takes about 15 minutes give or take. Even with the steep parts close to the M, the view is totally worth it. Once at the M, you can go up higher with no effort, for an even better view. Just remember to take a bottle or 2 of water to avoid getting dehydrated diring the warm/hot months.
