We took our 5 year old grandson here last summer and he absolutely loved it. We packed a picnic lunch and ate down by the river and then he must have rode the carousel 20 times! Very fun and unique experience for the little guy.

I love the carousel. This one was fast and very enjoyable. I would love to bring all of my grandkids here for a ride. This is a good place for people of all ages to visit.

This is a must visit if you are in Missoula with children. This wonderfully restored carousel will definitely bring smiles to both young and old. There is an adjoining playground which is fantastic as well. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful experience. Very romantic or family oriented. Mind you it goes pretty fast. I have had the opportunity to bar tend for a wedding where they rented the space. It was very nice. Recommend a visit.

Hello! Thank you for your wonderful review of our Carousel. I did want to clarify that while most of our rings are plastic, we do have one brass ring available to grab on every ride, and it usually comes at the end of the ride. The lucky rider who grabs the brass ring wins a free ride!

This carousel is a piece of art to be enjoyed by adults and children alike. While the children love the ride, the adults can appreciate the quality of work & artistic detail and enjoy a ride too.Staff was friendly & willing to reiterate information about the history of the carousel. If visiting in the winter, hours of operation are limited vs. summer hours. There is no fee to just view the carousel. A nominal fee is charged for rides & tokens may be purchased at the gift shop. A small gift shop with a nice selection of carousel memorabilia.Interesting, beautiful & brings back memories of riding a carousel as a child.

A carousel made by the community; you don't see these painted wood pieces any more-it is beautiful. There is also a neat playground and a walking path by the river. A little hard to find if you don't know MIssoula

Every time my grandkids come to town I take them here. A fun little spot, not just for the kids. The carousel has a lot of beautiful art work. Very reasonably priced. A nice playground outside is an added bonus!

Nice to see people doing carvings for other carousels, and fun to ride too. Easy parking adjacent. Plenty to walk to nearby.

A nice Carousel in a beautiful part of Missoula. It offers nostalgia for those who remember riding carousels growing up. I am a 25 year old male and was pleased to see something like this still operating. Adds a bit to the Missoula mystique.

How could you not LOVE the Carousel? It is a cheap activity, the horses are beautiful, the ride is super fast, and it rejuvenates the child inside of you. This is a perfect activity for the family-no matter your age. I ride the ponies EVERY time we take nieces and nephews. We have strapped in babies and my best friend in a wheelchair rides as well. It feels like magic each and every time we visit. Yay!

If you are from Montana, and can get there do, especially if you have children. It is beautiful. Truly something to be appreciated. If you are passing through the area for a vacation, make this a stop..there are very few of these in the country, so it may be your only chance to experience one, and it really is worth the price of admission. ENJOY

If you are ready for a fast carousel ride, look no farther. This is a doozy. The horses are beautifully handcrafted and are art alone. Choose an outside horse to play the ring game. Be the rider to grab the brass ring and you win a free ride. The price is more than fair and the views of the river are stunning. During the summer the walls are removed for an outdoor experience. Also, the free Dragon Hollow park is connected to the carousel. Great eating locations are also just a short walk away.

Usually we have bored kids in the summer so going to the carousel combined with the kids play area adjacent to the carousel has always been a winner! The history of the carousel is very interesting and the ride itself is fast moving and fun, especially if you can grab the brass ring!

My husband and I visited Missoula in October. We walked through Caras Park and as we were leaving the carousel was opening. We decided to pay the few dollars to have a ride and it was a fun, inexpensive experience. The carousel itself is beautiful, there is also a small gift shop with different knickknacks and memorabilia to choose from. Next door there is a playground called Dragon Hallow, kids with an imagination are likely to find this a magical place! The speed of the carousel is actually pretty fast, there is belts to wrap around you but parents should be riding along with small children. It was a fun, inexpensive experience and I would like to return here with my own children some day!
