My wife and I attend several of the Southern Gospel concerts every year. We also attend the regular show and the one hour History of Music show. We both are impressed from the moment we enter the theater. The box office staff as always friendly and very helpful. The lobby is spotless and everything is well organized. The concession stand is very clean and the service is great. I honestly do not think the restrooms could be any cleaner. After attending concerts here for several years I can honestly say that the entire place still looks new. Once in the theater you will find very comfortable seats and no blocked sight lines. There is plenty of seating for people in wheel chairs and those who have mobility issues. I really like the fact that there is so much room in the seating area that you are not forced to stand up or move to let people in your row. I am hard of hearing but have never had a problem with the songs or the music. If you plan to see a Southern Gospel or Bluegrass Show you should purchase tickets several months in advance. We have grandchildren and found that the one hour show is better for them. We have taken our grandson who was five to the two hour show but it was a little long for him so we left early. The AMT is like any production in that it seems to improve with every year. I have seen a change in the show and it seems that they pay attention to how the audience responds to various songs and routines and they drop the less popular of them. As in any musical show there are some songs that we like a little better than others but that is because of our personal likes. All the music is well do no matter what style or time period is being performed. Because we live six hours away from the AMT we make it a point to plan out visits to the area around the Gospel Concert Series. If you are ever in Elkins West Virginia it is the one place you should visit. Make the time to see the show and you will go away better for your time spent in the American Mountain Theater.

We didn't really know what this theater would be like, but we really enjoyed the show. It was religious Christmas music and good slapstick humor. The musical talent (singing and instrumental) was excellent.

I took my Mom as her Christmas gift. We had such an enjoyable evening. It was so nice to hear my mom laugh and watch her smile. I can't get over the talent of these people. Jeremiah

Enjoy the show by the extended Sexton family, eat a nice dinner and breakfast in a pretty restaurant, and sleep comfortably in a new hotel, all for one small price, in this case, $99 each. The performance, a Christmas show that's sort of southern gospel style, is in a middle-sized theater with lots of leg room and wide aisles. The corny jokes are quite amusing, and the musicians incredibly talented. My only fuss with the performance was that sometimes the instruments were so loud they overwhelmed the vocals. The theater has concessions with a good many choices and a small gift shop. The dinner and breakfast are in the newly remodeled 1863 Grill. The food is good, capped with the truly yummy cinnamon rolls that come with the meal. The nearby hotel, which has an attractive lobby, has rooms that are spacious, lovely, and comfortable.

We have only visited twice, but we will be back! Music was fantastic, professional all the way! Enjoyed the music and the comedy, all family oriented and they lifted up our Lord and Savior in word and song. Beautiful facility, the seating was very spacious and not a bad seat in the house!

If you ever get the chance, please take advantage of seeing the Christmas show put on by these talented performers. We have gone every year for the past 5 years and it just keeps getting better. Great music and comedy. They make you feel like family. We travel to Elkins for all kinds of shows at their theatre, but we NEVER miss the Christmas show. It's a must on our Christmas list.

Went to the American Mountain Theater in Elkins West Virginia. Two hours of fun and great entertainment! Very talented individuals did a fantastic Christmas Show with humor, songs and great music! They did a great variety of songs and skits to entertain all tastes and ages.First class talent. I highly recommend this theater year round. I went in June to see the Martins and that was excellent too.

We enjoyed the whole at o sphere of the Christmas spectacular at the theater. Everyone was very gfriendly. The talent was more than we expected. Seating was spacious, comfortable with plenty of leg room too. Would highly recommend this for great entertainment, especially for the price. It felt like being with family, so close knit.

Very good. The Franks and Sextons are very mutitalented people. The entire show is full of good music, lots of fun and lots of laughs.I have been back here many times now and all of the shows have been good. The fiddle player is EXCEPTIONAL.

The best Christmas show around! A great blend of traditional music and comedy in a family setting! The theater is very visitor friendly and roomy seating is nice. The costumes were beautiful.

Our 4th visit and this time to see the Christmas holiday show, it was better than expected, such a talented group of entertainers who mix music, comedy and fun into a 2 hour show that time flys by. No bad seats in the house either and lots of leg room between rows. Great prices too, affordable, quality entertainment.

The thing I like most about the show is you can tell that they are so family oriented. They are Christians. Both those things together is what american family's use to be and what needs to be... The show is so full of fun, light jokes, sarcasm, energy and talent. Everyone has their own talent but can step in to help another one perform... Denny and Kenny feed well off each others energy and have great personalities... Joel plays drums and guitar as well as sings... All the girls can sing and dance... The bass player and violin players are well educated in other instruments as well and by my surprise can sing awesomely as well... The electric guitar player is astounding and mesmerizing on the guitar... talent beyond his years... And last but not least is Jeremiah...he is amazing. he can play guitar, bass, trumpet, trombone and this instrument i have no name for..lol and wow can he sing... but the greatest part of his talent is his acting... he is amazing when it comes to "becoming" the "toaster guy" such a comical skit that I will never tire of it... I promise you you will enjoy it... :) Next year i might get a season ticket just so i can go more....

The American Mountain Theater in Elkins West Virginia is a must see if you are traveling to the area. Shows are very professional and entertaining. There is no bad seat in the theater. Comfortable seats. Just a wonderful night out!!

Great place to see a show and a great show to see. Rhonda and her band were excellent as usual. This is a great entertainment value. Really nice venue; clean, well lit, spacious seating, good acoustics. Easy parking. People say it is hard to find good family entertainment - not true, check out any of the shows at AMT. Can't wait to go back to see Dailey & Vincent next spring; got my tickets a month ago.
