Great little detour if you are close by & need a little down time. If you are traveling with younger kids, it is perfect to let them use up some of that energy. Beautiful area & the center is a cool learning experience.

The Zoo isn't what it use to be but our 2 year old liked it. Disappointing they removed the ducks and many of the other animals. Children read about these animals as they start learning and this was a wonderful place for the reading animals come alive. However, the NATURE CENTER just down the street is a great find and worth a visit by everyone at any age. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.$5 gets you into the park.

We have stayed at this camp ground before and the timber was being cleared out at that time so took that in stride. No problem with reservation and all went well, that was Easter. A WHOLE different story this time. Just got back from there and the camp site was filthy from the previous camper. We were required this time to put a credit card up just in case you leave the camp site filthy, what a joke. When we pulled into our original site we were told our 30 foot 5th wheel would fit, not a chance. Was moved to a back in camp site and that was the one that was FILTHY. Had beer cans and soda cans all over the ground and in the fire pit, egg shells thrown everywhere and cigarette butts you would not believe> called the check in desk and asked for maintenance come and clean this site up, guess what, maintenance does not do that it is policed by the campers and if you get nasty campers like we had before us we had to clean it up. The BIG deal is they have your credit card, required, when you check in to charge if you leave your camp site dirty but you have to clean up after the nasty campers before you. We left that campsite a heck of a lot cleaner than when we arrived. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!! And I will tell everyone I know about their so called requirements and lack of common sense in keeping a public use place clean.

My family always has a good time. Still a great place to camp, fish and make some memories. The kids always love the museum and the petting zoo.
