The LSU campus was definitely worth a visit. The architecture itself was not that stunning comparing to some other campuses in the nation, but still it was nice, and the layout coupled with magnificient trees made an impression. I even attended a game at the Pete Maravich hall, which was fun.
We were at LSU for our Daughter's Indoor Track meet at LSU's Maddox Field House. The indoor track and spectator seating has been upgraded sometime in the last 2 to 3 years. It is much nicer than when we were here for a track meet about 3 years ago.Unfortunately getting a ticket from the ticket window is a difficulat affair with long lines as the ticket window didin't open until 10:00 am for a meet that started at 11:00 am.
A lovely campus with the southern feel, lots of old established trees, just a place to make me want to be an undergrad again!
Mike the Tiger was sleep but his castle is the greatest. The campus is very attractive and the eateries were terrific
We were in town visiting friends and we stopped here one afternoon. This is a beautiful campus. LSU is well known for their football teams over the years but the campus is just beautiful. It is definitely a must see for any football fan
My son will start at LSU next year. We went to visit the campus. It is really a pretty campus on a small like with huge oak trees everywhere. It is worth driving by even if you are not going to school there.
This campus has been described as one of the most beautiful in the nation. There is a great student union with a bookstore, Indian Mounds and a wonderful campanile. The grounds are awesome. Take some time for a visit.
This is a beautiful campus that houses the university. It is one of the more picturesque campuses on the country. A total party during a home Tiger game.
oh my gosh, they do party hardy in Louisiana. the university campus is in major party mode - it is a spectacle and an experience to walk through.
I had visited several campus all over the nation and this is on the top three of the nation. Beautiful buildings, oak trees, areas to lay down on the grass, nice union and beautiful habitat for their mascot. Great restaurants around the campus to eat.
You are not going find a better place, and a quality of game when these 2 play. College football at its finest.
LSU is a walking campus and cars are not allowed on campus from 7am to 4:30 pm. Parking meters are available just outside the gates.
LSU campus is very pretty. It is mostly spanish mission style architecture and it just fits into the surroundings. It's fairly easy to navigate. Make sure you stop at the Visitor Center to get your maps and any other info you might need. Parking is behind the Barnes & Nobles bookstore in the visitor garage. It's a bit tricky to get your ticket figured out.
How can you beat the the Stately Oaks and Broad Magnolias? The Spanish tile roofs and archways are characteristic of LSU. The live oaks are truly beautiful and well kept. The Vet School is in the top 5 of the U.S. Tiger Stadium, Alex Box, PMAC, the Parade Grounds, the Clock Tower, Mike's Habitat and the student union are all highlights of the campus. It's a great engineering, journalism, business, medical and law school. Tailgating is the finest in the SEC. And where else can you see a live Bengal tiger?
We drove through LSU on our way to New Orleans with our high school aged kids, and they loved the campus. We might have some Tigers in our future!
