My 6 year old and two year old grandsons loved it! It's all interactive play: vet clinic, ambulance, television station, restaurant, grocery store, ect.

This place is great fun for kids. I recommend you stay the whole day. You can get your hand stamped, walk to Subway for lunch, and get back in after lunch. They have clean restrooms and baby changing table. There are things to do for kids of all ages, from toddlers to maybe 11 or 12 year olds. There is a mini-grocery store with little carts and a grocery list. The bubble display is neat-- make streams of bubbles with a wand or surround your body in a huge cyllindrical bubble! There are blocks for building towers or setting up like dominos. The Mr Potato Head center is extensive. The toddler area has a train center, with the 'Thomas the Train' type of magnetized trains. Also in the toddler area is a picnic table with kitchen, and a story corner. There is a real ambulance to explore, a dentist's chair with xrays, and a news broadcasting center with camera-man and weather / sports reports. The Children's Museum of Acadiana is educational and fun, at a reasonable price; i believe the entrance fee is $5 or $6 for the entire day.

It was just ok. Kids were bored about 20 minutes into the visit. They had fun "grocery shopping" at the mock store setup.

We had been here a few times. Last time I went, our younger kid still really enjoyed it. The older one seemed a bit bored. I think the age cutoff is about 10. Worth going and fun for the kids, but make sure they are still young enough

The kids with us loved the place and we stayed much longer than I would have thought from first impressions. Overall, the exhibits are a little tired. And oddly, I don't get a particularly cheerful vibe from any of the staff. But again, the kids loved it. The restaurant, the grocery store, the news room, the ambulance, the bubble center, the health room.

We were traveling with a 2 year old and a baby. We stopped here for about 45 minutes. It was a good place to stretch our legs. We had to carry out our 2 year old crying because she wanted to stay. I only gave 4 stars for a variety of adult reasons. She would have given it 5 stars from a kids point of view. There is no restaurant (would have been nice as a driving rest stop), restroom had 1 diaper changing table so there was a line, it was not well lit, the toys were basically the same toys we have at home, and it did seem old and a little run down.

My kids who are 4 and 2 loved itEverything and I do mean everything is hands on. From taking care of pets in the animal hospital to giant bubbles to grocery shopping in the Winn Dixie market. Parents be prepared to participate in the activities with your child. My only thing I wondered about was how often are the toys washed and disinfected bring wipes and hand sanitizer.

small museum, has centers for kids to play in, i.e., vet office, shopping store, ambulance they can crawl in, bubble center. It didn't seem to have anything new since last year...if you need somewhere to go with the 6 and under group, it works.

This is a nice children's museum with lots of interactive exhibits. There is a vet office, bank, circus, ambulance, grocery store, restaurant, bubble station, dentist office, news station and a few others. Great place to take kids.

My kids loved this museum. They have dramatic play, art, bubble fun and teaching tools through play.

I visited the children's museum in december with my boyfriend and two children. One is of the age of 8 and the other is the age of 12. Both are completely different even though there is a little age gap. With that being known and said, the children's museum bonded the two together our whole evening. I myself was lost in time and became a kid again. The staff was friendly and the activies are mind as well as eye catching. The gift shop had many affordable things unlike your average and expensive gift shops. I wish there was more space to the place, but they made the space they had work with many exhibits and hands on activies.

Have been here several times with two little ones over the past few years. The place is a little on the small side. The displays are very interactive. The kids can grab and touch just about everything in sight. Certainly better for the 8 and under crowd. Older kids might not be very impressed. It is disappointing that there has been little to no change in most of the "centers" since the first time we were here. This bothers me more than my kids, and would certainly not bother a first time visitor.

This is a very cool place for kids. Everything is hands on and, while its not huge inside, there is lots to do. They have a Vet Hospital, Supermarket, restaurant, winter village display, ambulance, bubble center, large play area for little ones, lots of stuff to build, a craft room with free crafts (today it was pinecone Christmas trees & wreaths), and much more! The gift shop has a wide variety of items, ranging from 20 cents on up. The bathrooms are large and clean. Admission is only $5 per person and worth every cent.

My kids loved going to the CMA. We used to go often when they were younger. Museum seems to be geared for younger children.

It's a nice museum, clean, with lots to do. But it's mostly geared for younger children. Children 9 and over probably won't enjoy it as much as the 8 & younger crowd.
