Very beautiful park with great views. The memorial to 9/11 is a nice addition to the park. I would recommend anyone visiting to stop by.

We love this park. It is absolutely beautiful and is a fun place to meet/hang out. Perfect for an outdoors wedding, also. My husband and I were married there on 9.19.14, We took a carriage ride the next evening. We make it a point to come here every chance we get!

So this park is really neat and big and has a lot to do to keep the kiddos under 10 busy for an hour or two. It was a very sunny day and I found that there wasn't much shade unless you stood under the giant canopy where there are no seats. But over all and other than that, I rate it a full 5 stars and definitely something to do in Lake Charles with the kiddos. Just bring your sunblock and cap!

So many improvements have been made to the lakefront! There is something for everyone, whether it's to play, walk, or just sit and watch the ducks. With memorials, sculptures, seating, fountains, water play area and a playground extraordinaire, there is plenty to entertain, enlighten and engross.

beautiful scenery, well kept and family friendly. Great for jogging or taking the kids to play in the small water park area. My boyfriend and I walked the area and it is well maintained.

Nice area right on the lake. Nice boardwalk to see the sights. Well maintained park for the little ones and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Lake Charles is known for it's Casino's but this place is awesome for kids. The facility is clean, over looking the water in a gated area with a FANTASTIC playground area for the kids that includes a huge pirate ship and castle and water pad. And it's FREEEEEEE!

Went here with the kids to end out a fun day in Lake Charles. I was very suprised at how well done the park was. The have a big house area with climbing and slides as well as a big ship area. They also have a toddler area for smaller kids. I wasn't expecting much and was suprised. My kids had a blast and the park is right next to the boardwalk if you wanted to take a senic stroll down by the lakeside.

Great place to take the whole family. Plenty of things for the kids to do. They have a water fountain, swings, and a lot of things to climb on. Place if very clean, no food in the park. They have picnic area. There are food trucks across the street where you can get something cool to drink or a snow cone.

We found this place and the kids loved it! The water attraction is great for even the youngest kids. The playground is really huge. Clean restrooms, security on the property. Not much seating area or shade therefore you may want to bring your owm chairs. Rules say no food or drink but there whefe people there with icechest & bags of food which security did allow to bring in. Overall if you want a place to go & give your kids a chance to burn off some energy and cool off in the splashpad for free, this is definitely the place to go!!

Recently upgraded and beautiful. On the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center, it features walking paths, marina, children's play area. concert shell. Interactive fountain for the kids. Soon will have restaurants, etc.

They have a walking path, picnic tables with grills, fountains, and the view at night time is beautiful, the sun setting and all of a sudden you see smoke pouring out of factories in the distance over the water with tons of brilliant lights. Nice place to relax.

If you're traveling along Interstate 10, or just in town, it's a great place to stop and stretch your legs. There's lots of walking area along the lake, a huge playground with splash pad, ducks to feed, a 9-11 memorial, a veterans memorial,and lately there have been carriage rides, snowcone stands, etc. It's also very close to the downtown area, where there is a kids museum, several unique eateries,great old buildings,and a Wendy's. Enough for a break from driving, easy access, small town so not a ton of traffic, and great on the wallet.

This is my favorite area of Lake Charles. It features a wonderful play area and splash park for kiddies that during our visit was very clean and even had a security guard there at all times. Aside from the play area, it is a nice clean place to just walk or sit and watch boats coming in and out. This area has had a serious facelift recently and it is a nice place to relax.
