tonight I visited the Eldorado casino with some friends, we were served very quickly when we arrived,,, but it was a hour and forty five minutes before we saw a waitress again,,it put us all in a bad mood we were having a blast before all this,,and it is late Tuesday night not very busy at all,, and before ya'll jump to conclusions we were drinking coffee none of us were drinking alcohol,,but the reason for the bad review is this is not the first time this joint has pulled this,,, the last five times there basically the same story different night,,tonight was the deal breaker go here if you need to dry out if not there are stll five other casino's in town that you can at least stay hydrated at
This casino has a great layout and feel. I like it better than the one next door....Sam's However, I've never stayed here, but i have stayed at Sam's
Line to enter because so many people were using vouchers, coupons, and player's cards. Once inside, service was good and food was ok. Variety of foods wasn't as wide as many casino buffets I've visited in the past.
Big Casino several floors feels like Vegas lots to do. shopping, food, shows, Yes they have a Texas Holdem card room, however Jack pot is hard to hit requiring 4 of a kind beaten. It must have allowed smoking throughout at onetime you still can smell the cigarette smell and is real heavy in poker room. Other than that lots of fun. did not stay overnight.
We were invited to share New Years Eve with The Eldorado Casino...We were treated very nicely. Had a wonderful time. Ist class food - entertainment - I recommend the Eldorado for anyone looking for a safe, friendly, clean, get away.
This hotel has amazing rooms, wonderful bathrooms, bedding and pillows are excellent. The rooms are spacious and the views are good for the area. The restaurants are good. Can walk to many sites in the city as well.
This casino is VERY nice. I love to walk through the doors. I don't have to climb stairs at all. The atmosphere is wonder and so relaxing. The servers are good here. just love to go here. the machines are plentiful. The only thing I don't care for is the parking. If you don't park on the floor that lead you directly in the casino you have to get on an elevator or walk across the street to enter on the 1st level. Otherwise, it's a great place to gamble, eat and the entertainment is great.
I love Eldorado resort very nice staff . Love the free comps always win don't really matter if we win or loose just getting away to a real nice room and great place is worth it . The rooms have mini fridge and very nice bathrooms and tubs . Always clean . Room service is great
We went to this casino and it was so smoky, you feel like you're getting lung cancer just from walking through! It was definitely a lower class of people who hang out here. If you're looking to play some poker, forget this place!
My absolute favorite place to dine. Variety of foods to choose from..Everything is delicious!! Only 1 complaint is the desserts. They used to have slices of great pecan pie and assorted pies. Not a good dessert bar at all now..
This hotel when you enter it is like going to Vegas. Free valet , several places to eat, plenty of gaming tables and lots of slots. The rooms are clean, spacious, we had a beautiful Red River view; that I spent several cups of coffee looking at. The employees were great.
I've visited Shreveport many times and often we visit this place in conjunction with the Sam's Town casino. If I had a preference of which place is nicer, cleaner, and more fun to be in, I'd pick this one by a long shot.Like all Shreveport casinos, El Dorado is subject to the weird gaming laws that Louisiana has about the casino sitting on water. As such, the El Dorado is not a large casino. The casino is divided in two and occupying two floors, accessible either by elevators inside the gaming area or escalators outside the gaming area. Both floors feature a large area in the middle of gaming tables with slot machines ringing the area. There is a wide variety of slot games despite such a small gaming area (each floor is about triple the size of a restaurant) I won't even comment on the "looseness" of the slots. It depends on the game you play and when you play it. And that's true of ANY casino. So I never comment on the slots, good or bad because there's a reason they call it "GAMBLING"... However, I will say that the last time I was there, I was down to my last $4 (after starting with $40) when I played the Michael Jackson slots and won $110 on the strength of 3 bonus rounds. Even with the smoking that is part and parcel with gambling, the high ceilings and clean gaming areas help to keep the air relatively fresh. Of course the amount of smoking in the air depends upon what time and day you visit. On busy nights like Friday and Saturday, I'm sure the smoking is more prevalent. I'm guaranteeing the cleanliness of the air as someone with really bad sinus allergies. As for the service, the waitresses do seem to be good about making frequent rounds to make sure that the visitors are well attended to. On top of that, they're all pretty friendly and pleasant. Same goes for the dealers and cashiers. Pretty good bunch of employees. I can't recall any sour personalities on my visits. As for the dining options the casino/hotel provides, the Sportsman's Cafe is pretty good with a casual dining/home cooking flair that's pretty good. The buffet is something special. Unlike your run-of-the-mill casino buffets, there is a bit of a wider variety and all of the food is (GASP!) cooked properly without being stale and over-cooked like other buffets. There is also a deli but I have never tried it so I can't comment on the quality. As I said, my relatives and I often visit this place in tandem with the Sam's Town Casino. I can assure you, this place is the antithesis of Sam's Town in every way possible... And that's a good thing!
Great hotel. Polite, efficient employees. Nicest casino in Shreveport. Ate at the Sportsman restaurant, the buffet, and the VIntage. Good food in all three. Vintage has had the same menu for years. They could change it up a bit.
If you're used to Las Vegas or Atlantic City, this will be a big let-down. It's small and a bit dirty. Some of the slot machines are impossible to figure out, unless you're a local I suppose. Ditto the Dragon Baccarat tables, unless you're Chinese I suppose. But the craps and blackjack tables are fine, the dealers are friendly, and the drinks (of course) are free. The players were the highlight, a menagerie of colorful people who were worth the visit just to watch. We sat at a blackjack table with two big, heavily tattooed guys you would not want to meet in a dark alley, yet they were cheerful and talkative and a pleasure to have at our side. Just goes to show how appearances can deceive. Ladies' attire was another attraction, from tight and low-cut to ripped in ways I'd never seen before. One craps table drew a boisterous crowd, while another was surrounded by guys you definitely did want to meet. As we watched, security escorted one fellow out.We spent three hours there. In that time, we were up a few hundred, down a few hundred, and broke close to even. All in all, a cheap night for how much we enjoyed watching and chatting with the locals.
I won almost $300 on the penny slots...I've never seen looser slots in my life, especially penny machines. Highly recommended.
