southern broadway dinner theater

I've been to two recent productions at Southern Broadway Dinner Theater, Soda Shop Hop and also The Cotton Club and would highly recommend this theater to anyone in the area. The performers were incredible and the food was just as good as the show!

My family and I had an amazing time!! The food and service were fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly and fun. The show was very well done. It had a few good laughs and great music. The theater has great character and the soda shop was well designed. My teens loved it! Recommend it for all ages. Cannot wait for the next show!!

As an educated and well-travelled southerner, I was somewhat offended by one reviewer who stated this was "great entertainment for south Alabama". Wow, what a misguided elitist. Some of the best and most renowned authors, music, theater, etc. in the world have come out of the south and yes... out of Alabama! Also having a military background, I can say I've been to theater AND dinner theaters all over the country (and world for that matter- my wife loves dinner theater) This little bitty venue offers some of the best there is compared to anywhere. One of the worst dinner theaters I ever attended was in California near L.A. As a retiree in this area I have actually been to many of the shows and will continue to go back. must say I was hooked early on. And if someone thinks 35.00 is a lot for a dinner theater they must not have been to many others. I have paid up to 75.00 for a dinner and show. I would say the average from my experience is about $40 - $50 per person. The small "house" is a real plus in my book. I you prefer to be prodded through a buffet line with mediocre food and truly hokey entertainment, go to Gatlinburg. If you want original, quality entertainment that is so fresh and quality that it surprises you, then try Southern Broadway. The music and singing has never been anything but stellar. The acting is well-honed and the production quality is top-notch. The playwright is a "friend of a friend of a friend" and in my book the plays are outstanding. Every play is well written, well acted, and very unique and this is what keeps folks coming back in my opinion. You should try it.

My family and I went to a dinner show at Southern Broadway. The food was good, served family style. The show was a bit corny, yet entertaining. It was a bit pricy, however, the atmosphere was cozy as there are not many tables. The company was good. It seats about 8 to a table so we were "forced" to mingle with others. The show was interactive with the audience. I'd go again, mainly for the food. I would not pay for the show separately. Again, a bit pricey, but entertaining. For South Alabama, it's on the higher end of the entertainment scale. We are not from South Alabama and have a perspective that takes in entertainment all over the world. As there is not any really good theater in South Alabama, this is as good as it gets. (Did I mention the food was actually pretty good.)

Whatever brings you to the Enterprise, Alabama area do not allow it to cause you to miss this dinner theater experience.Southern Broadway offers the most intimate theater experience in the United States. Seating only 48 people, the theater allows the audience to see original performances from a unique perspective. Each play, written and performed by local talent, combines music, dancing and acting that is professional in every respect.The dinner half of dinner/theater is themed to match the play and is extraordinary. In fact, the dinner is worth the price of admission alone.Southern Broadway is the best thing in the Wiregrass area.

We had an incredible evening at this dinner theater. I've been to dinner theaters all over the country and i was so suprised to find that this small town had a jem in it that proved to be by far my favorite overall experience anywhere! The show was top notch - the show we saw had music in it as well as a storyline ( was told they are all different - another big plus) and the singing and acting was superb. I was blown away at the quality. The food was really amazin as well. The setting and all that we experienced there was just incredible.
