On my way to Florida. Stopped here for lunch. They have numerous gift items plus an enormous selection of pecan based treats. I had the lunch which includes a meat, three vegetables, pie, bread and a drink for $9.12 with tax. They offered two meat selections, about five vegetable selections and numerous pie and cake selections. I had the boneless pork chop, corn casserole, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. I chose the coconut custard pie. It was a delicious meal. It is a no frills lunch in that you serve yourself, pay at the counter then take your tray to a table to eat. I bused my own table. Definitely would stop again if I am in the area.

This is one of our mandatory stops every time we head north from the coast. The buyers do an incredible job of finding one-of-a-kind items that appeal to everyone on your list. And, of course, there's the pecans!

I have had pecans from other places in Alabama as well as Georgia. Some are almost as good as Priesters but none better. These mammoth nuts are large, well shaped and in great condition with a warm, clear and bright taste of pecan nuttiness. The store also sells peanuts in various conditions, the Cajun are really good. And it is a quaint place to visit. They have a small lunch bar but did not try it. So if you are on I65 in Alabama and near exit 142 I believe I us, stop in. It in in sight of the interstate.

We loved seeing the products being handmade from the glass-walled viewing hallway. But, the store was a real treat as well. We did the small lunch buffet - nothing special EXCEPT the pecan pie dessert, and you would have paid almost the price of the lunch for that in most restaurants! Good stuff. Wide assortment of food goods, mostly pecan, but that's okay with this Southern gal! Got great mark-down price on a couple of chocolate pecan pies for holidays, and pecan pieces for my own cooking. We plan to stop here whenever in the area again. Stopped short of giving it a full "5" after reading other reviewers reminding me that restroom facilities are limited for the amount of visitors, BUT it was clean and stocked when we were there.

We've been promising ourselves to stop at Priester's for years, driving back and forth between Atlanta and New Orleans, and we finally did it on our latest trip. It is similar to Cracker Barrel with the variety of items available for purchase, but their specialty is pecans and everything you could possible make with them. We decided to go for their lunch buffet. The choices are very limited, so I don't know that I would choose to eat there again. We were happy to have finally made the stop, though. Worth seeing at least once.

If you are ever in or near Fort Deposit, Al, it is worth it to stop at Priesters Pecans. They have free samples of many different flavored pecans and candy. My favorite was the key lime pecans. Yummy! Priesters pecans has an onsite factory that you can visit free of charge. You can see the employees making the candy and other goodies. That in itself was fascinating. They also have a store with all kinds of gift items. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. Again, worth the stop.

What is not to like about chocolate and pecans? Priesters makes this combination work in so many ways--pralines, divinity, turtles, key lime, brittle and so many others. The nicest people and free samples of EVERYTHING sweet. Viewing platform to watch candy being made. The gift shop is heavy on Alabama and Auburn but there are other items. A nice break between Mobile and Montgomery.

We always stop on the way to Pensacola Fl, as we are taking our daughter to college. They have great snacks and candy (they have samples). My wife buys her pecans to cook with here, great little store. We also stop on the way back home too.

Stop the car. Enjoy pecan samples. If you are an Alabama or Auburn fan, this is a must stop as they carry every conceivable fan item you can think of. Christian, cooking, decorating, and clothing items are also in great availability here. Prices are fair, but not cheap. Full on retail, but their pecans are quite reasonable for the quality, quantity and freshness. Flavored pecans are awesome. I purchase the honey glazed and plain pecans every trip. Bus drivers get a gift cert. worth at last trip $10 for anything in the store. Great incentive to bring in a group. Hot and cold bars are open for lunch and food is very, very good. Fun little stop if you are traveling. Great for unique holiday, anniversary or War Eagle/Bama fans. Trust me, you will thank me after savoring some of their pecan flavors.

My wife & always stop at Priesters during our frequent car trips - both coming & going - between Columbus, GA, & Biloxi, MS. Most recently we stopped in late afternoon Monday 8/11.We have almost a ritual: first cruise around the free pecan samples (I like key lime the best), have a tasty hot dog or sausage for lunch (if it's that time of day), buy some delectable mustards/sauces/dips, buy a single-dip waffle cone, get some free ice, & be on our way - REFRESHED with the guilty pleasure of the ice cream while we drive on. :)

I stopped here per suggestion of my travel companion on the way to Mobile/Gulf Shores. I've had and enjoyed some of their products before but didn't know of this place. It was great! I picked up some great sovereigns, toured the factory where they make their products, and sampled various foods. I'll definitely go back again.

Every time I visit Greenville, I must drive the 12 miles to go here too. Its always crowded but for good reason. Yes they are a little high priced on their candies but once a year its okay to spend $50 on their product in my eyes. Love the free samples. Also they have a pretty good meat and 3 combo if you want to get a meal while you are there. Be sure to go upstairs and check out the product being made. Stay away from the Auburn Product and only buy the Crimson Tide stuff!!!Cashew brittle and Honey glazed pecans are my favs. Also loved the Lemon dill dip. Just left happy. See you next year!!!

When traveling I-65 through Alabama, always stop at Priesters for pecans and shopping. It's a nice store (always crowded however) with lots of choices for pecans, jam, jellies, candies, etc. The gift shop has quite a variety of nice items for purchase. The downside of this establishment is their restroom facilities...small, very outdated and messy, and just not clean. I suppose the volume of people passing through contribute to the mess, but would suggest staff checking more often to make sure paper products are in good supply and cans emptied. Otherwise, it's a warm, welcoming place to visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stopped at Priester's Pecans, as we always do, when we're traveling along I-65 in Alabama to visit with our family. We usually like to grab some snacks for ourselves as well as an assortment of items to share with family while we visit. On this occasion it was Christmas Eve and it was not as busy as it is normally. We had seen a nice assortment on their Web site and were interested in getting it but could not locate it. I asked the male clerk and he was quite rude. He just point in a generalized area as to where it would be, if there was any left and he said that they aren't going to make any more of them. It was very rude that he could not show us where it was located and that he said that they were not going to make more (when we did not ask them to). We never did find the item, but we did find another assortment to purchase. When I took it to check out, the clerk said that it was the display box and that I needed to put it back and get a different box instead. I could not remember where I picked it up as the place is very unorganized. In frustration, I picked up an identical box (which turned out not to be the assortment that I had intended on purchasing). We also needed to use the restrooms but could not as there was a long line of folks. The men's restroom has only one toilet. From what we could tell, the restrooms were not clean anyway. We thought that Priester's Pecans was something special, but we were wrong. Our experience indicated that they are just another company out to make the biggest buck possible without spending any money keeping their store clean, organized or providing any customer service.I anticipate that we'll get to our destination quicker in the near future as we won't be stopping at Fort Deposit, AL

We stopped here to stretch our legs, and we were pleasantly surprised! The store was very neat with lots of great gift ideas. The pecans, well, they came in all sizes & varieties. Mountains of them. Two words- praline pecans. Yum!
