I knew this would be an interesting visit. The building with the ticketing counter had me confused. it is very dated and needs some love to just clean it up and "update" the inside. The exhibits inside were updated and pretty cool to look at and learn. The Mars Cafe seems like it needs some improvement for functionality. The Saturn V? building was very nice. Brand new and very interesting. We could probably have spent more time over all at the whole place looking at everything.

I took my son to space camp for spring break. We are actually at the Huntsville airport waiting on our flight home right now. Family Space Camp was disappointment to say the least. To start it off our counselor was incompetent. He couldn't keep us on schedule even though we had a complete three day itinerary broken down into thirty minute time slots. He wasn't a bad kid but every time he got off track the parents in the group had to troubleshoot and come up with solutions to his problems. Two of the three simulators didn't work. Not that it mattered because our counselor was so slow at strapping people into the one that did work that only half the group got to go. On rocket launch day we needed a bus for an 86 year old in our group and, once again, our counselor couldn't pull it off. We stood around for an hour waiting and listening to our counselor make excuses. Stay away from this place at all costs. They are definitely interested in quantity not quality. One parent in our group had done this, as a family tradition, with his other kids. He mentioned how much it has changed since the last time he was here and said that it was time for a new family tradition.

We had a very limited time in Huntsville, so we only strolled through the outdoor rocket park. It has an amazing collection of NASA and military rockets ranging from a WWII V1 buzz bomb to the massive Saturn V. Definitely the largest collection of rockets you'll see anywhere. Admission to the park is free, but the museum has a substantial addition cost.

No where can you learn more about Space and beyond than in the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville AL. What an amazing part of our history and future! This is a MUST SEE place for all ages!

My husband and I went to stay with his folks at Redstone Arsenal, and spent a day at the Museum. It was loads of fun!!

The US Space a Rocket center is a great place to visit and a must if you’re in town. A fantastic display of Huntsville’s role in space exploration. There are exhibits dating back to the beginning of rocketry up through modern day technology. They have a life size model of a complete space shuttle. There are also exhibits connected to the Army from the local Redstone Arsenal.

Plan on spending 3 to 4 hours going through the different exhibits. There are things for all ages. You have all the exhibits about space and spacecraft what I found interesting is the exhibit on all the everyday items that where created by the Marshall Space center scientist and engineers.

There is never a bad space exhibit. I love Werner Von Braun. The new space race is going to be even more exciting.

A Must-see in Huntsville - the Space and Rocket Center skillfully combines the histories of the space program and Redstone Arsenal, and how the two combined to create the rockets that launched the US into space.......there's something here for everyone, whether your interest is space, science, or engineering....seeing just how unbelievably massive a Saturn 5 rocket is, and realizing how brave our monkeynauts (what, you didn't know about monkeynauts?) and astronauts were to head into space on technology that was so new and untested - technology we take for granted today with our iPhones and computers. The displays include military as well as space rockets, to-scale and model-sizes of Chinook helicopters, Skylab, LEM Lunar Module, the list goes on and on.Questions about anything? Retirees who worked on just about every rocket and missile on display volunteer their time as tour guides - there's not a question they can't answer about the Center. There is an IMAX theater option but we did not have time - the movies looked excellent. We'll be returning.....

This is a great place for families with young children. If you've ever been interested in the space program they have a great exhibit with so much history. On the same property is Space Camp, which is great fun for kids. There is also an outdoor area featuring rockets and military crafts. Great interactive exhibits and special feature IMAX films add a unique level to the experience. If you love anything relating to the space program and space exploration this is great destination. If not, keep an open mind, and if you're in the area why not stop by for visit.

I have visited Kennedy Space Center in Florida already, but I have not visited this place yet. My family and I enjoyed our time here. We learned a lot and we also got to see some cool things.

Visited KSC in Titusville back in January, and now the "Huntsville" equivalent in February. While it would be unfair to compare the two due to major differences in the facilities, I would definitely recommend the Space & Rocket Center. I really enjoyed the history of ROCKET CITY and think that any young math, science, or space-interested kids would LOVE this place! I didn't fully appreciate the Werner von Braun story but I certainly do now after my visit. We didn't have time for the I-Max theater but otherwise saw everything else. The current "101 Greatest Inventions" exhibit is not space related, but extremely interesting.I thought this was well-worth the price of admission, and will be back in the future as the exhibits change.
