This is a nice place to bring your dogs to walk or just to walk by yourself. There are multiple options for the length of your walk.
I have lived in Auburn for over 10 years and visited Kiesel Park for the first time this past weekend. I enjoyed the 'leashless" area. Not quite as nice as other dog parks in other cities, but the dogs didn't seem to care.
I take my dog here about once a week and she loves the dog park in the back. Has big open fields, beautiful forests, and just a really wonderful park to go and get away, have a picnic, or just take a walk
Been here a few times and have really enjoyed it both times. There is a walking trail that is peaceful and there is a large fenced in area where you can take your dog off the leash without worry. It is a free park and my dogs have had a blast every time we have gone.
Great place for dogs and active owners! Except for the parking area, the entire park in fenced in. Lots of fields, trees, waterways and squirrels. :) The official 'Off-leash area' has a large and small pen. When the pen gets too busy, the 2 1/4 mile walking trail is awesome. The park at large DOES allow off-leash dogs....I don't recommend Kiesel if your dog isn't dog friendly as most people choose to walk their dogs off-leash on the trails. I've been many, many times and haven't seen many dog aggression issues at all.
Kiesel Park is huge, the biggest park in Auburn. It is known for being a dog park as it has a large fenced dog area, however it has great walking trails. You will not get bored there is so much to see. There is a cute house that can be rented out and a pavilion.
Kiesel is a gem of a park. It is great for walking/running or just playing with your dog. The scenery is beautiful and the park is well maintained. There are two fenced areas for dogs (and their friends) but you and your pooch can also just enjoy the unfenced grassy areas and the 2.25 mile walking/running path that covers a large portion of the park.
A perfect setting under trees, with space for a lot of people to spread their blankets, chairs. There are events held at Kiesel Park on occasion and with the space, no matter the number of people, room for everybody.
One fun nickname for this park is "The Dog Park'. Lots of people bring their pooches for a brisk walk but I've never seen one unhappy or out of voice command. This is a great park to choose your hiking length. There are walks for every length from as short as a half-mile all the way up to 2.5 miles if you're so inclined. There is also plenty of space to picnic by lovely ponds or enjoy the small historic home which had been saved and moved to the park. Kiesel park is a great day out for children and adults of all ages with a great family atmosphere as well.
