This is my favorite golf course in the area. Greens and fairways are very well taken care of and staff is very friendly. It is challenging but fair enough you can leave feeling good about your game. Very nice golf facility overall. Highly recommend.
Best golf facility & service in the Gulf shores area. The courses are player friendly &extremely well maintained &an excellent setting for a vacation facility.
Get ready to have a good time playing golf. Have a cold apple on the first tee. located in a large barrel by the tee box. A wwell designed course with forgiving fairways. Fast greens and very well maintained. The staff was great. Drinks were cold. Have fun.
This past week my wife and I played Peninsula Golf Club in Gulf Shores. We had a great time playing the Lakes Course and the Cypress Course. Very nice fairways, lots of water, lots of sand, big greens, -- good challenges. However, first three greens on Lakes are diseased and need healing. We enjoyed the course -- but a little pricey compared to others in the area.
This place is a little pricey ($100 for 18 holes) but it was worth it. I've played on some really nice golf courses in MO, AR, TX, and OK and this one is definitely top 3 if if not #1. They have three different 9 hole course. Lakes, Cypress, and Marsh. We played the Cypress and Marsh. Cypress was really nice and had lots of sand and water all over. Marsh was laid out very nicely with sand and "marsh" all over. Workers were shocked when we said we didn't see a single alligator too! The course was very professionally taken care of and looked pristine. The greens were very nice. Fast when putting and divots were left when approaching from the fairway. By all means I'm not a great golfer (20+ handicap) and you don't have to be to play this course. The staff were overly friendly as well. A couple workers even threw us golf balls they found while working the course. Loved the golf course and will definitely come back when in the area.
The old saying about 'you get what you pay for' is very true here. I've been playing here since it opened. It's always in perfect condition, the vistas are spectacular, not too hard for the occasional golfer, friendly staff and delicious food in the dining room. My most favorite course in Gulf Shores!! Treat yourself to a fun day!!
I've played here many times and have never ever walked on or off the property wishing I was somewhere else. The staff really set this place in it's own league. They are very kind & extremely knowledgeable of all happenings. It's a well-oiled machine. I understand that some people get a little picky about silly imperfections of mother nature's canvas, but a large scale production like this has strict time management for maintenance. On a consistent basis, this property delivers a great value. As someone in the golf industry, I will say it truly does a great job making everybody happy. My friends & I play here almost exclusively. They all talk about how much fun it is & how challenging it can be when the wind shifts. If I could give this Peninsula 6 stars , I would.
ok not worth $96.00 lakes course had a topping on it sand and fertilizer is all it was and it was not worth playing. and no where close to the money spent. $100.00 should let you play all 27 holes.
I had a chance to play last week while I was on vacation in Orange Beach, this golf course is definitely worth the trip. the course was in magnificent shape and the greens were very fast and smooth. Would definitely play again.
I'm not a good golfer, but I can appreciate a good course. Well kept and challenging, but forgiving. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for an enjoyable round on vacation.
The course is actually 3 different 9-hole courses so depending on which one cycle you get when you play 18 you play two of them. Challenging course, decent amount of hazards. Beautiful scenic views of Bon Secour bay on a few of the holes. Will be playing here again.
Beautiful, well kept course. Challenging and scenic. Enjoyed the cold towels that are brought to you while golfing. Rental clubs were very nice and not too pricey.
Best golf course. Two pools. Rubico tennis courts. Bayside views. Club burger to die for. Condos and homes available for sale or rent.
We played two rounds on our visit and found the 27 hole facility to be in excellent shape. Marsh, Lakes and Cypress 9 holes were each different enough to be challenging to play. The staff was friendly and available as needed.
We spent 5 days in the Orange Beach area and golfed 4 days. This was our favorite course! Beautiful and well manicured! The greens were in the best shape. The people were very nice and friendly! We wished we would have played it earlier in the trip so we could have gone again!
