Hands down the best pizza in town. The owners are very nice and treat everyone like family. I highly recommend this place it has a wine shop attached as well.

I visited this bar while on a cruise and was served my beer in a plastic container while locals served with a glass.WHY!!!. I'm a 65yr old &hardly likely to start throwing glasses aabout & certainly wouldn't expect this treatment at home.

After our morning tour of the city, shopping and watching the Lumberjack show across the street, we needed to refuel so we decided to stop at this funky little spot called Fat Stan's. The crew from the show had said it was their favorite watering hole and we were not disappointed. The pizza was fresh hand made and delicious, the draft beer was good and cold and the atmosphere was more like a local hangout than a tourist trap. Prices were not unreasonable for Alaska, but there did't seem to be a large amount of seating so I imagine it could get crowded during normal lunch/dinner hours. If we get back to Ketchikan we will definitly come back.

I have to preface this by saying that we were having beers and a bloody mary before they started serving food (early morning cruise ship arrival). The best bloody mary I have ever had. Not too much stuff floating in it, their home infused vodka was great, Beaver Brand horseradish...oh, and have it with a side of beer. We were leaving as the pizza was going into the oven..looked great and the guy on the next bar stool was waiting for his slice. He had been there before we arrived.I just noticed that this is filed under an attraction rather than a restaurant. I can live with that!

Bought a draft. Did not have coupon for $1 glass. Paid for beer left $2 tip. My wife brought me our coupon for $1 glass while still drinking draft. Bar tender said I must buy another draft to get glass. I was going to buy a hat along with the glass and we were planing on sating lunch there too. However we went to Chico's on dock st. Much better beers $4 food :)

We stopped in at night just after climbing Deer Mountain. Was a great place to rest and refuel with amazing pizza and drinks.

Food was good... The place is nice and clean.. And most of all the staff is great... Thanks Michael for sending the lost earrings to Missouri... If we ever get back to Alaska.. Fat Stan's will always get a visit from us...highly recommend...

Fat Stan's Bar is definitely a place worth checking out in Ketchikan. We went there right after attending the Lumberjack Show (they give you a coupon that allows you to get a pint glass for $1 after purchasing a beer).The bar was pretty comfortable once you sat down. We interacted with two of their staff and they were both very friendly and helpful. They were very pleasant to deal with, whether we were ordering drinks or food. They were attentive and we had no issues with the service at all.The bar had a limited selection of beer, but they had some good beer, so that was forgivable. One of the few beers on tap had just run out, so they were down one beer. That was a little frustrating because I wanted to order it. Those things happen, however.The pizza was quite tasty. You have to order the pizza in a separate area (it was a little inconvenient, but not bad). The pizza was made quickly and it came out piping hot. It was better than I expected for bar pizza. All in all, it made for a quick and tasty meal.Fat Stan's Bar is located a short distance from the docks, so it's an easy walk from a cruise ship, especially if it is raining. We had a good time here and were glad we stopped in.

Just opened their Pizza Bar and it's great. Everything made fresh on site with all the good ingredients. Prices are right for 10" pizza being $12 and 16" being $24. Pizza specials in the evening. Funky Alaskan atmosphere but a great place to meet the locals.

We were recommended this bar by a local coach driver when we called in a Ketchikan on a cruise. The beer is great (they serve Alaska - try the Hoppothermia) and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I just wish we'd had a bit longer to spend there.

I love this place! A awesome place to come and relax with a beer or wine in Ketchikan! Wine or beer or liquor it's definitely my favorite spot to unwind!

I cruised beautiful Alaska with my kids and came into this place to buy some Water and a beer for myself. While gathering the drinks to sit down an arrogant guy (I believe one of the owners) shouted to me while my kids we're near the bar. He insulted me with words not appropriate for toddlers while I decided to get out and not fight with uneducated people. It's a shame To meet this kind of people while with your kids, although it also shows them different kind of levels of culture and education. Never touching this place again.

When you are over the shopping and over the crowds of cruise passengers swarming Ketchikan, stop in at Fat Stans. Beer selection is good, decently priced. It ain't fancy but we like it!Not sure why this is catergorized as an attraction though.

Offered both cider beer (for me) & local/Alaskan beer (for my hubby) ...each for $5 a bottle. They could totally over charge the non-locals that come in on the cruise ships since we are used to paying $7-10 for a drink on the ship but they definitely didn't do that to us. Good service - only one person working and he was busy but got to everyone quickly. Good place to stop in.
