toad suck

I live in Conway and went over to Toad Suck to check it out. It is located on the Arkansas River at the Toad Suck Lock. There are places to go fishing and a campground, but that is all. I found this strange because Toad Suck and the Toad Suck story are such a big deal here.You would do much better to go to Pinnacle State Park or Petit Jean.

Drove a ways out of Conway Arkansas. Wondered what kind of campground this could be. Found a medium size rv park but was amazed at the view. Went to the office and got the rates and times they are open. Beautiful grounds easy in and out. Asked about the name and was told this.. The ships would bring their cargo to the unloading docks. The sailors would go to the bars and drink so much beer they would swell up like a toad frog.
