world peace fountain

The title says it all. that said if you go the underground art gallery you can actually by a piece of the mold used to make the globe.

this art piece is at the fayetteville downtown area, it's a large 10 feet bronze ball representing earth, with more than 100 languages touting the same message, "May Peace Prevail on Earth."it usually turns but you can always give it a push, there are water coming out of it so be careful not to slip and fall.

Located at the Fayetteville downtown, this gorgeous piece of art is a must see attraction. It is designed as a large ball that mimic the globe with " Peace for the entire world" written in almost all languages.

The fountain is very nice part of the UofA campus. A great place to take photos. Be aware of construction in the area -- this may be completed by now. Enjoy!

This is not a massive display, or a large gaudy spectacle to shout PEACE at a visitor. It is a simple, but elegant and thoughtful sculpture of a globe inscribed with "Peace" in many languages, with a gentle flow of water running down to cover and unite all of them. It is a lovely spot for meditation, for a quiet, moment of reflection, or just to enjoy a few minutes of peaceful time to yourself in a lovely spot. Come and take a few minutes to enjoy!

The World Peace fountain is located off the main downtown square. It is a piece of art not to be missed. You can pushed the sculpture and make the world go around.
