Every Saturday night at the Montgomery County Courthouse local musicians entertain. No entry fee is charged.

Full Disclosure.....My husband is in a band that performed at The Front Porch Stage so I could be a little biased. His band has performed there twice, and we have gone to see other bands as well. There is a real community feel to the venue. People of all ages come out with their blankets and lawn chairs. The music varies with the performers so each week is different. Sometimes it is gospel or country. Other times you'll see singer/songwriters or folk. Everything s pretty downhome. We hope to make it back two or three times next year.

If you are i town or even nearby, stop at the courthouse square with your lawn chairs and a soda pop and listen to some of the best music around. Great community and wonderful people!

The Front Porch is a stage that is located on the old Courthouse Square. From May 1 through October 30 a group of musicians, amateur and professional, gather every Saturday night at 7:00p.m. They bring you a FREE fun filled concert of either/or Bluegrass, Gospel or Country Western music. There is a concession trailer to serve refreshments to the crowd at a nominal price. Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy the concert under the stars. It is a great feeling of life back in the Good Ole Days.
