Beautiful Burns Park, located just north of the Arkansas River near Little Rock, is one of the largest municipal parks in the U.S. Trails for walking, hiking, biking, and horseback riding, plus a golf course and venues for most other sports, make it a popular place for folks of all ages. It even has a covered bridge with its own pond, tables and grills for picnicking, and shelters that can be reserved for parties.
Burns park has something for everyone. There is an 18 hole golf course, a disk golf course, baseball and soccer fields, lakes, trails a covered brige and an old log cbin. Plus there are slides and rides (not fair type ride, but park type rides) for the children. And there are geese! Lots of geese. Also included is a RV park and archery range. Not in the park but ajacent is the North Little Rock Animal shelter. This is a great place to visit and if you can it all done in a single day you must be moving really quick. But slow down and enjoy all the park has to offer.
what a great place to play soccer. the line in was long but they did everything they could to move it along. organized and on schedule.
Great soccer facility. Baseball fields could use some care, but overall a nice park for youth sports.
My son played in a tournament here, nice facilities. Lots of playgrounds with equipment and picnic areas.
I never know what to expect when traveling to different parks for soccer, but Burns Park is an awesome park and well kept. Many events happening while we were there - the soccer weekend event, a bike race, a wedding and lots other things to do. I walked part of the trail walk in between games. They even have a dog park! I will defiantly go back if I'm in the area for any reason.
The park has more than soccer. Road bike trails, mountain bike trails, horseback riding trails. multiple dog parks, RV camping and much more.
The Capital City Cup Soccer Tournament is held here every year and it is our favorite place to play. Has the beauty of a national park. Green grass and large beautiful trees abound.
Secluded with nice views off all the houses high up on the side of the river.. Very well taken care of, Nice place to visit
Huge park with several playground areas. Also has a beautiful golf course and soccer fields galore. Perfect place to take your kids for a picnic and let them play.
Very nice park, playgrounds were fun for the kids and nice scenery. Wish it were not so humid the day we went, other than that it was wonderful.
I loved going to Burns Park when I was a kid! Now, I take my kid to Burns Park and he loves it! Its fun, clean, and will always bring good memories!
Wish we had a park like this close to my home. Great running trails and paths. If you like to bike you have countless options as well. Lots to do in the park with many options for the family. Bathrooms were nice and clean. View of the river is great.
Can not come to Little Rock without visiting Burns Park to take photos of one of my favorites spots, the red covered bridge. It is so picturesque.
The Arkansas River Trail runs through this huge park. This a great place to bike, walk or run. The trail leads to the Big Dam Bridge which is the long pedestrian bridge over the Arkansas River. Lots of walkers, runners and bikers. Go midmorning or mid afternoon because the trail and the park can get busy around noon or after about 4pm.
