cove lake recreation area

I loved the fact that it is on a small fishing lake, it is divided into two sections, neither real big. There was running water, a faucet for each section, that you had to tote back to your campsite, and the toilets are not the flushing kind,but the pit toilets they have are very clean and did not stink. There were plenty of deer and birds to watch, and nice trails. One even goes all the way (9.5) miles up to Mt. Magazine.I can't wait to return to this park to do some more fishing and a nice sunset from atop Mt. Magagzine, 10 miles away.

We stopped here on our way from Mobile, AL to Yellowstone. It was a nice place to sleep with a beautiful view and hot showers. Well worth the 10$ fee.

We pulled off the road just to take a look at the lake it is very pretty and has area to sit and relax or stroll beside the water.

We have tent-camped in this area many times and there is no lovelier place to camp in the spring or fall . Some of the campsites are next to the lake, and you can fish right off the bank. During the summer months, the bath house and concession stand are open and right next to the swim area. They also have rustic, air-conditioned cabins for rent.

to many bugs! The lake reminded me of lake placid but the bugs reminded me of a swamp. The swining hole was very dirty and the watter was brown. We could not go to the put put due to all the bugs.
