We are certainly glad that you have continued to frequently visit Mount Magazine State Park since opening in 2006. Our lodge and cabin free-access wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet was recently upgraded by our vendor with new settings and upgraded N-cards (now 2.4 - 5.0 gigabytes, previously only 2.4) for all of our 13 cabins. Also, please note that the Wi-Fi connectivity is affected and comprised by harsh weather such as ice on the tower antenna. We have indeed had problems in the recent past with our vendor who handles the pay per view movies. The issues were in a few of our cabins and not in the lodge rooms. This has just recently been corrected. We trust that you will venture back to The Lodge at Mount Magazine to continue enjoying the spectacular vistas and peaceful atmosphere. If for any reason your future stays are not up to par, please be sure to oblige us to assist in making certain you are pleased. Welcome back Soon!
This is a wonderful park. Drive up into the mountains and escape from the heat down below in the summer. The hike up Signal Hill to the highest point in Arkansas is easy and well worth it, great for families. The hike on the Lookout Trail is a little tougher in parts, but certainly acceptable for older children offering great views down to the river valley below. You can bring in a picnic or eat the restaurant at the lodge. The park is full of wildlife, so keep your eyes open.
Took my family up there for an afternoon. Enjoyed lunch at the restaurant. Spent time exploring the beautiful lodge. Took in all of the beauty of the highest spot in Arkansas. A fun afternoon for the family.
Beautiful lodge, 4 stories of glass facing valley and mountains, rockers, tables for outdoor seating, photo ops galore, fireplace.....relax, enjoy, take a nap in the sun :-)
I have been to the park several time on Motorcycles and it is fantastic, There is a great restaurant at the mountain lodge and the roads are great, it is very clean a well maintained . There is not a bad time to go to the park summer , fall , winter or spring it is all good. I have seen Bears and all kinds of wild life . This is a great place to picnic with the family or have a get together with friends. The Lodge is 2nd to none. and there is also cabin rentals .
Loved the drive up and the lodge. Very silent evening to sit and stare down the valley. Not much activities but very good cool off your city life pressures..
We were driving from Little Rock to Oklahoma City and decided to make a diversion to Mount Magazine to go to Signal Hill, the high point in Arkansas. We booked a room at the Mount Magazine Lodge. It was December, so the trees had dropped their leaves and it was cool. The area below was enveloped in fog. It was utterly silent and serene as we hiked the .7 mile trail to Signal Hill with only an elevation gain of 173 feet. The trail is good and easy. It was nice to have a sense of wilderness and solitude. The Lodge reminded us a little of the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite. Large, fun to wander through, fire in a large fire place, places to sit and view outside, a restaurant with reasonably good food. A large, beautiful room with a nice view. Very few visitors at that time of year. We lamented that we'd only schedule one night there. Peaceful, restful. I'd love to go back and I think I would pick winter over summer because of fewer visitors.
We went for our (at least) 4th visit to Mount Magazine between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We NEVER get tired of it!!! IT'S SO PEACEFUL!!!! This time we took the 5 hour ATV trip with Schluterman's ATV Tours, 479-963-1770, and KEVIN did another spectacular job of guiding and entertaining us!!! What a nice young man with a gift of gab and lots of great stories about the area!! He is the perfect host and he also let me ride the ATV with the HAND WARMERS... and I sure did need them that day!!! Back at the beautiful lodge with the million dollar view... we were pleased to find that the food in the restaurant has greatly improved since we began coming here three or so years ago. We really enjoyed eating there, the service was good, and they usually kept a big fire in the fire place!!! The Christmas tree was up and beautiful in lobby and the fireplace there was blazing also. It was perfect!!! You really should go to Mount Magazine at least once... Where else can regular folks enjoy a real lodge in the mountains for the prices they charge??? It's worth saving your pennies for!!!

A must visit if you haven't yet. Beautiful scenery all around this mountain. must do the atv tour with Schluterman's ATV Tours, 479-963-1770, Kevin!! OMG this was my first time on an atv tour and had such a blast!! what fun we had with our guide, Kevin!
I will definitely go back. The views are stunning and the lodge there is wonderful. I have no complaints.
I camped at the bottom of the mountain in a park named Cove Lake. It was a very clean and quiet park with a beautiful lake, but it is a bit primitive for most as it has no showers and no flushable toilets. However, the outhouse style toilets were very clean and did not stink like most do. I will be going back to camp at this park, and I will be going back to Mt. Magazine as it has some of the prettiest overlooks of the Arkansas mountains and valleys in the middle part of the state. The lodge and the cabins atop the mountain are beautiful, but they were all booked up, as was the campground on Mt. Magazine, so, i recommend that you reserve way ahead of time if you wish to stay atop the mountain. Oh, and I saw many deer along the way from the campground up to the mountain. It's a must see destination in Arkansas if you are coming for scenery and serenity.
We made a trip to Mount Magazine to see the Fall Colors, when we arrived, the trees were still green, but the overlooks were still beautiful.
Beautiful lodge breathtaking views. We stayed on first floor but still had balcony and wonderful view of valley. Nice flat screen TV and comfortable beds. It is of course the highest point in arkansas so the drive up is fantastic. The buffet was so so but would still recommend this lodge and stay there again.
The drive to Mount Magazine is gorgeous. We haven't stayed there, but we have driven up and had lunch in the restaurant several times. Their food is really good, and the facilities are outstanding.
