First of all, not terribly close to Sheridan, so don't be misled by that. If you're a historic, you'll enjoy it, But to be honest, there isn't a lit here. Partiers. Drinkers. Drugs. Not very big at all. The mosquitoes will carry u away . Their are plaques around telling you about the battle. It's really in an out of way place and if you go during the summer be prepared for the swimming and partying

This park has a nice walking path and views/access to the river. There are several historical markers to describe the battle. The only drawback (and you cannot fault the park for this) was a person metal detecting in the park was creepy. Otherwise, I would enjoy visiting this park again.
