This review is for the equestrian facility, not the nearby farm stand. My wife and I are novice riders and began taking lessons a few months ago after looking at a number of places in the greater Boston area. We have been very pleased with our experience there. The instructors, horses and facility are all very good. The instruction has been tailored to our abilities and needs which are focused on pleasure riding. The stables are a very pleasant 30 minute drive from our home in Newton.
I have loved this place for years and it is our go-to place when having a party. Our favorite items: she-crab soup, curried chicken salad, teriyaki salmon, couscous salad and banana chocolate chip bread. The variety of apples available in season is amazing.
Great fresh veggies also fresh baked good Go on Sunday for a made to order egg bacon chees sandwich on an English muffin. Many events for families over the year too.
Excellent food, excellent service, very easy to work with, available on short notice. Highly recommend!
They have good produce, prepared meals, a nice deli and bakery goods. They also have gourmet food items and small gift items. You can sit and have coffee or tea and enjoy a muffin during your visit.
We sopped by and immediately overwhelming by the long lines and noise. We had a kid with us and he couldn't leave without riding a pony. 35 minutes wait for him to make 1 circle. The marionettes advertised would be nice to watch if it didn't take 10 minus to untangle ropes. Our son lost interest in them after first 5 minutes view of the artists back... We shop at Verrill farm allot and quality of the produce and prepared foods is usually good. But this is first and last time we have participated in event there...
We heard about this farm stand so made a trip down one morning. It is a very nice place for foods, produce, fruit, and treats. They make a egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich that is now my favorite. Coupled with one of their fresh scones and a cup of coffee this place is well worth visiting for a quick breakfast. I'm not sure about the rest of the products but I found the breakfast to be very reasonable - Made fresh and only slightly more than the mega fast-food chains. Out in back it looks like there is a big activity area that I suspect gets heavy usage in the nicer weather. It's on my list of places to go back to in the Summer.
the produce is always fresh. the bakery is to die for. too good. easy to break your diet. They also have sandwiches available and the location is lovely.
Verrill Farms has the most delicious pies in the area. I have often given them to welcome new neighbors- and when entertaining, they are always a hit. Verrill farms is also well known for its wonderful seasonal produce - asparagus, corn, tomatoes are all noteworthy.
This is a great farm stand and store with tons of fruit, veggies and homemade goods, including the best pies in the area! They are so fresh and are made with delicious fruits. An awesome place if you're looking for a snack or just reloading on groceries.
Great reputation all around Boston. I came here for years when I lived in the city. Now I am much closer and get to go year round. Pies are great as well as tea breads. Nothing like verrill corn and tomatoes. The CSA is TERRIFIC!!!!
Outstanding farm stand and take-out foods year-round, surrounded by its own farm fields. Summer and fall, buy their great sandwiches and baked goods to have lunch outdoors at picnic tables under their tent in the field, or at the few tables indoors. Terrific produce in season. Prepared foods are good but pricey. I just love their roast beef and havartimsandwich!
On the weekend if you can get there before 11:00 a.m, you can get their breakfast sandwich which is so delicious, English muffin with an egg(I prefer mine over easy) with scrumptious bacon and cheese. This is worth every calorie!!! Coffee is excellent as well as scones and soups, all home made and none better anywhere!!!!
Fresh produce here is excellent. Also, a nice range of locally made pastas and ice creams. The bakery side of the business is a little weak and I would drive just a couple more miles into Concord or West Concord for better bakery experiences.
This is the best in the area. In summer, their tomato selection is unmatched and corn is great. Year round their bakery and deli selections are awesome. I can't make a better pie than they can.
