Good size theater, plenty of room to spread out. Great sound. Comfortable chairs. The large popcorn is a bag, not a bucket which was disappointing. There is a food court in the lobby of the theater that includes a Starbucks, Nathan's hotdogs, and Ben & Jerry's.
Once you have the treatment of the Lux it is hard to see a movie any other way.Keep in mind it is a little more $$ but you get a $5. per person voucher to use on food and drinks. And don't forget to sign up for the Showcase live Starpass...this earns you a lot of free perks with all purchases.
We saw Robert Earl Keen here and I doubt we could have had better seats or a more intimate music experience. They have cabaret seating so you can have dinner and drinks while you enjoy the show and all this for the price of a $28 ticket! Definitely will be going back to see Taj Mahal in a few weeks.
That's a good thing -- no sticky floors, no cramped uncomfortable seats. A delightful place to watch a show. Tons of parking. Well organized. Extremely well maintained. And technically top notch (screens are large, not small like some multi-theaters; good sound systems).
I've seen several shows here. Each time I go, I am so pleased with the excellent sound system, lighting, floor space, nice bar and facilities. Very convenient to the 495 South and local suburbs (Foxboro, Sharon, Easton, Walpole, Mansfield). Also, plenty of parking! You avoid the expense and inconvenience of parking in the city. Sometimes you get seating (get there early) and other times you'll have to stand. There is a good site-line to the band, almost every place in the venue. If a band or act comes here, I highly recommend seeing it here rather than traveling into the city
The show I attended (Howie Day) was seated on a first-come first-served basis. My friend and I arrived about 30 mins before the show started and we were right up against the stage. Excellent waitress service for food and drinks (also reasonably priced). Can't wait to go back!
Had a great time at this venue. Plenty of room, clean bathrooms, quick bar service.
There's nothing like live theatre! In a great venue!
My husband and I went to Showcase Live in Patriot Place for a private event, Jim Breuer's Metal Man Comedy Show and Battle of the Sexes Comedy Show. The venue has a great atmosphere - always clean and classically decorated. The food is good, but my husband and I feel it's overpriced. The 1/2 pound burger is $12 - Hubby said it was worth 6 because it lacked flavor and bacon wasn't an option for a topping. I had the Bistro salad for $9, but after adding chicken and shrimp, it turned out to be a $19 salad. It was yummy, but WOW on the price. (I would expect to pay these prices in Boston or NY, but not Foxboro.)When there is a seated show, they pack the tables VERY tightly - it's difficult to eat and not hit your neighbor's arm. Rectangular tables with 6 chairs on each side... 5 would have been more manageable and comfortable. For an 8pm show during the week, I wouldn't bother arriving until 7 or so... on the weekends, you should arrive at 6 and eat there because the front seats fill up quickly. The VIP booths are 1/2 round booths surrounding the perimeter of the floor... you can only book one with a party of 4. There really isn't a bad seat in the whole place, so I don't know if I'd bother with the VIP prices if you're going to arrive early anyway. We will definitely go back there, but will eat elsewhere. Hope this is helpful!
The only way to view a movie at Showcase is to go to the Lux Level. A few $$ more to sit in a leather chair and have waiters and waitresses cater to your appetite. Very relaxing
This is a new venue. Though it's small in scale, the sound quality and views are decent, with plenty of parking.
Have seen several shows here and never had a bad time. Prices tend to be a bit high on the food and drinks, but the venue comfort and access makes that all worthwhile.
Saw Bruce Marshall Group open for Roomful of Blues. Both excellent. The venue is clean, open, with decent acoustics (and plenty of parking and bathrooms!). If you get there fairly early to grab a decent seat (typically at a shared table with 4-6 people, we were lucky to share with 2 very friendly couples) don't be afraid to try the food. Although the wait staff was really busy, our orders came fast and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food.We drove about 45 minutes to get there, would do it again if a group was playing I really wanted to see.
Awesome place to go; food court is great. About 13 Cinemas to see a movie at. Seats are comfortable and the place is nice and clean.
I, perhaps foolishly, decided to attend a standing-only concert here while I was 8 months pregnant. I hoped that I would be able to find a place to sit, even if it were just on the floor in the corner, should I get too tired. The doors opened at 6 for the 8 show and I was already tired soon after, so my husband asked if there were any way I could get a chair. Within 5 minutes, a worker came out with a chair for me, and they set it up in a great spot, with a perfect view, with the rest of the crowd. Aside from just being nice to me, the venue was very clean, with waitresses that came around before and during the show so you could order drinks and food. The sound was awesome, and so was the show. Great experience.
