Can be a nice hike with the dog if it hasn't rained and there hasn't been snow melt. There are two areas that create basins and you have to turn around or wade through (I mean a foot or more of standing water with no way around unless you can walk magically walk through a thicket of prickers). If it's dry, you just need to be careful of the horse manure on the narrow trails. Snowshoeing is pretty ok in the winter except then you're trying to avoid the dog poo on the trail which is not always easy in snowshoes. I want to like it more since it's so close to my house but I always have to chance it to see if the conditions are tolerable.
