seymour, the pub

We went to the Seymour pub the other night to meet up with some friends. The interior is beautiful! Nicely lit with candles and low hanging lights. The woodwork is stunning and the booths large and comfortable. Both bartenders were attentive and friendly. They have several beers on tap. However, it is unfortunate with all the great local brewery's not one was represented at this pub! We believe it is important to support local employers and farms. We will not return until they are represented at the Seymour Pub. In addition, the prices are what one would expect in downtown Boston, no wonder most booths were empty.

We came here on a double date and loved it. There were games in the tables and great beer. It's a great place to visit if you want to have some drinks and chat. Best of all, they play all their music from records. Wonderful experience.

Greenfield's newest and best bar is Seymour, the pub. Those of us who appreciate beer in western Mass will feel at home here with Seymour's ties to the Moan & Dove, the Dirty Truth, etc. But one of the things you'll first notice is the Scandinavian style bright wood throughout. Gives one a cozy warm feeling. There's even a closed in outdoor seating area out back with a heater. And checkout the backgammon board in the back.The beer list is creative and varied with one-time specials often being served up. Info is usually posted to their Facebook page.Staff is great, too.While they don't serve food there's a couple of places nearby for takeout or delivery or you can bring something on your own.Parking is somewhat limited - I've found spaces available on the other side of the small park on Bank Row.If you're in the Greenfield area, enjoy beer and like a classy atmosphere this is the place to go.
