A nice sanctuary to spend a few hours and strangely located in a suburban neighborhood. We walked all the trails and would consider them easy to moderate. No big inclines or declines. In August the trails were dry but you can see where streams may be flowing and challenging to cross in the Spring. It was still “buggy” and would recommend insect repellant. The trails are well maintained and marked well. The most interesting feature is the central pond/swamp in the center and a few trails will take you past it. We saw beaver dams, herons in their nests, frogs, turtles, ducks, hawks and some song birds. There were also rock walls along the trails, an old stone foundation, ledges and boulder fields. Most of the trails are shaded under a canopy of pines. Nice spot for a light hike. Would like to go back during the heron nesting season. Entry is free but there are no facilities. There is a parking area and maps available at the site.
