Awesome experience! I arrived anxiety ridden but once I was up in the plane Martin and Ron cracked jokes and put me and the other solo jumper at ease. Ron was my guy and I am glad he was. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Having someone thrust you out of a plane is the most terrifying thing EVER but I now feel like I can conquer the world. Great place for first timers!
I was a little nervous at first, but after talking with Martin and his crew before takeoff everything was great. Awesome view of both Boston and the Cape, and an extremely professional team. Whether you are a first timer or a pro, this is definitely the place to jump
Friendly instructors, professional team, awesome experience, unbelievable adrenalin rush, breathtaking views. The instructors took the time to make sure that all the jumpers were at ease, and not too nervous to enjoy themselves. I came two hours early just to get the most out of the experience and watch a few go up and land before I did so I got to see how much care they took to fold up and put away all the gear after each use. My instructor was a sweetheart, personal enough to establish that rapport you need with and the confidence you want to have in the person in whose hands your about to put your life in, and still professional and respectful of boundaries. The plane ride was neat, they pointed out every major landmark, the freefall was EXHILIRATING and the steering before landing was fun.I was also very impressed by the quality of both video and stills.Groupon, Living Social and Amazon Local have very deep discounts as well as the online price, the second visit is discounted and transferable to a friend. I would do this again and again and again with the SSB team over and again.
First off just want to say that I did not actually get to skydive. This all started when my girlfriend bought us tickets to go using the living social deal for my birthday. I was very excited to get to experience this. Fast forward a couple of months later and we reserve our jump day. The day arrives and its raining so we must reschedule. No big deal. We reschedule for a the next week. That day arrives and it is once again cancelled because of wind. Again, disappointing but understandable that weather permits whether these events can go down. This is august by the way. So we reschedule for a couple weeks later and once again it is cancelled because of clouds. The weather actually cleared up dramatically as the day went on there wasn't a cloud in the sky an hour after we were supposed to go. So once again I call up to reschedule and they tell me that there are booked for the rest of the year. I ask okay well what is the solution for this. Immediately the receptionist becomes extremely rude saying that I should have booked earlier and I calmly tell her that I tried booking 3 separate times. She then says the only option is to pay an additional $75 each if we want to go next year! I was really upset with the way the customer service treated me and I asked if I could speak to the manager in which case she hung up the phone on me. I have yet to call back to schedule for next year and I plan on going but not to this establishment with their lack of concern for customer service just shocked me especially when this is a fairly new business. Certainly not way to spread word of mouth business because I had a lot of friends who wanted to go as well.
This was absolutely one of the best days of my life. I was also terrified but everyone was knowledgeable and informative during training which calmed me down. They also all had a sense of humor and, while safety definitely came first, they made it fun. I jumped with Marco who was knowledgable and had clearly done this before. There aren't words to describe how awesome this was! You might have to wait depending on how many people are in your group since the plane takes two people at a time but they're organized and move right along.
Promised my son a jump for his 18th Birthday - grabbed a small discount through a Living Social deal (on-line reservations are almost the same price). Did the jump yesterday on a absolutely gorgeous Memorial Day. This was a super way to do a first skydive. Martin the owner and his co-instructor Marcus were knowledgeable, safety-conscious and a lot of fun. Long ride up to 8-9,000 feet before the jump. The free-fall was fantastic and then the long glide down to a safe landing. Definitely worth investing in the photos and video package. My 14 year old daughter can't wait until her turn in a few years. Was well worth the drive down from Maine.
The owner is amazing.he has 12,000 jumps under his belt. He is great fun. The jump of course was a blast. A very memorable birthday celebration for my daughter, son and I.
