Absolutely the best chocolates ever -- especially the meltaways. Hidden behind bushes/trees in a quaint colonial building; don't drive by, stop in and you won't be disappointed.

I carefully selected many different chocolates for my half-pound box.I don't have a favorite.....Each and every one is delicious!JK

We've been eating Stowaways since 1979, when my boss used to give us a 2 pound box for Christmas, every year. My hubby and I are in Florida half the year but make a pilgrimage here every summer to treat ourselves to a 1/2 pound. Some of the old favorites are gone(chocolate meltaways and grog, for example), but there are still plenty to keep you happy-they have a lot more truffles than they used to. Try the champagne truffle!! We try chocolates wherever we travel and have not found anything to compare yet.

I'm kinda at a loss for words ......... except WOW! This is the best chocolate i've ever had ........ after reading a review about this place here on TripAdvisor i decided to check it out ........ look closely when seeking this place out ...... it's not super noticeable. There's a sign hanging out front marked Stowaway Sweets (picture attached) and even at the gate i was unsure if it was a store or a house ....... it's surrounded by hedges and looks like an ordinary home. I'm looking forward to visiting this gem again !

Great spot to visit after a nice day in Marblehead. Highly recommend the dark chocolate meltaways.

I was visiting from Florida. My friend, a local resident, suggested we stop there. The candies were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the milk chocolate turtles. This is one place that cannot be missed if you visit this wonderful town north of Boston.

This is how candy stores should be. All these beautiful chocolates, milk and dark and white, displayed in glass cases throughout. Many contemporary candies as well in glass jars. The local saltwater taffy is available too, a perfect souvenir.
