Would recommend BIG FISH CHARTERS to any one

We went out with Captain Tom and his mate Leo last weekend and it was GREAT! There were jokes and laughs and we caught more fish than I ever thought possible. The best part was that all of the fish were filleted and bagged and ready for the coolers before we hit the dock! This by far, was a awesome experience and we definitely plan on going again real soon!

We went with them for two days, the captain(Owner) showed up late half juiced up,careless about the whole trip $1500 down the drain. The following day we had a different captain they made the second day better, but it still can't be compared to other charters in the area who cares about fishing.

We had a horrible experience on Big Fish Charters in Marshfield, MA. We went out 2 days in a row. The first day was great, I believe it was due to the great mate, his name was Leo. He was awesome, he knew how to run the boat, like a mate should. He was awesome, had a great fishing experience that day. However, going into day 2 was disastrous. We were suppose to have Leo, but a mate for another boat had a mate that did not show up, so we apparently drew the short stick! We had to wait until at least one hour past our meeting time for the captain to go out and pick up the new mate. The mate, Ian, a 16 year old kid who just knows how to fish. No idea how to run the boat for fishing. He slept. He watched the lines get tangled up and left them that way until we told the captain. He watched go the boat go through seaweed, getting it all over our lines, we let him know, he did nothing until the lines got all tangled and the captain told him to be sure to keep an eye out for that. He slept some more. He slept while all the lines were in the water. When awake, he had to keep asking the captain what to do, how to do it and needed much hands on help from the captain, which then left us sitting idle during that instruction, which added up to a great amount of time. The captain told me he never guarantees the mate, well.....this Ian, is clearly NOT a mate, he is a friend of his son's! I will NEVER go on this charter again and urge anyone who wants to be on a boat where they know what the heck is going on, I would not chance it, if you get Leo, you are good, Ian, you will regret you did it!

We had a horrible experience on Big Fish Charters out of Marshfield, MA from the start to the finish. The day started with the Captain and the mate showing up an hour late and not being prepared at all. We later found out the mate slept on the boat. The mate was clearly not in a good mood as he didn’t have much to say to us and wasn’t willing to assist us with our gear. As departed from the dock we were told we would need to fish for our bait as all the bait they had died. Rather than get the pole ready the mate decided to go to sleep. When we arrived at the first stop the captain set up a few poles while the mate watched. One of the guys in our party grabbed the last pole and was quickly yelled at by the mate stating “that was his pole and to put it back”. The captain showed us once how we need to work the jig and then left us on our own. We weren’t very successful but we left to try for tuna with the few fish we had. While on route again the mate went to sleep instead of setting up poles so when we arrived the captain took 45 minutes to set up the 4 lines. We then sat for 3 hours with no action so we asked the captain to change locations. He eventually brought us in closer to shore and upon arrival got no help from the mate again so took another 30 minutes to send out 2 lines. We watched for another hour without any success and the captain called it a day. To cap the day off it took him seven attempts to park the boat like it was his first time doing it. The entire trip was a disaster and the way we were treated after paying $1500 was deplorable.
