A great place for a wlk that takes you into nature. A very nice admin building with lots of local ecological information. The trails are well marked.

Been going to broadmoor for 40 years. every time I go I see something new. Give it a try, its worth the visit

Broadmoor is typical of most Mass Audubon sanctuaries as it has well kept/well marked trails that let you know if you are heading toward or away from the visitor center (or parking lot if there is no visitor center) The area is very scenic and has boardwalks going through some of the marshy areas to better get a view of swamp life there. There is a butterfly garden next to the visitor's center, and the staff was helpful as well.I checked no fee, but that can be a bit misleading as Mass Audubon members do not have to pay a fee for most sanctuaries. Nonmembers do pay a fee.maps are available at the visitor's center

With our 4 and 2 yr olds, We really enjoyed the boardwalk, spotting turtles, climbing rocks, watching water falls. And all on a 1.5 mile walk. The composting toilets were a great education for us all. The lady in the nature centre was v friendly and helpful. We will be back.

A great combination of wetlands, meadow and woods, with many trails offering different length walks. Be sure to have a map, as the trails get winding. A good place for all ages; little kids can enjoy climbing on (safe) rocky areas.

Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary offers a variety of vistas on its multiple acres of land which include the shore of the Charles River, a terminal moraine, pines, deciduous trees, birds, and the remains of a water mill. The trails are clearly marked and you can walk for fifteen minutes or 2-3 hours and not retrace your steps. There is also a boardwalk down by a small pond--great for spotting frogs and turtles and an occasional snake!

I got mixed feelings from our trip to Broadmoor. We went in mid-September in the late morning. We didn't really see much wildlife: one turtle, one frog, and one bird on the wing. It had rained that morning, and some of the trails were somewhat slippery because of the wet leaves on the ground.I also didn't think the trails were as well marked as they could have been. At some points, we weren't sure whether we were following the actual trail, or just a beaten-down side path in the woods, or some loop-around. You shouldn't get completely lost, though, because here and there are trees marked with paint. Blue paint means you are heading away from the nature center, and yellow paint means toward the nature center. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they seem to be building a new center, so they are operating out of a trailer at present. The new center looks like it will be very useful, but until it's finished, activities are greatly curtailed. The trails are fairly accessible to most. We even saw a young mother pushing two of her children along the paths in a double stroller. The boardwalks don't have much of a railing, though, so little ones will have to be under control at all times.I don't think the trails are as well-maintained as some of the reviewers have mentioned, though. We came across a couple of places where we had to climb over fallen trees across the path, and one place which was virtually inaccessible because of the large deep puddle blocking the way. (Remember I said that it had rained that morning.)Be sure that you bring insect repellant, or buy some there. They sell it for a dollar a dose. As you would expect, mosquitoes are plentiful in the shady woods.I rated Broadmoor four stars instead of three because I think that for the right visitors, at the right time of the year, it could be an excellent experience.

Beautiful South Natick location, Broadmoor has lovely walking trails, wildlife, lots to see & enjoy. Went there one winter afternoon with my family for a walk. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and not too $.

Broadmoor is a treasure in Natick. It's a beautifully maintained Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary and such a peaceful place to spend some time outdoors on a beautiful day.

A great half-day outing for individuals, couples, groups of adults, or families with children old enough to keep up and appreciate what they're seeing. Especially worth it on a Sunday or weekday in late spring, late summer, or early fall. Take binoculars, cameras, and insect repellent, and give yourself (ideally) 2-2.5 hours. Best time is morning or early afternoon. As others have mentioned, the Sanctuary is well-maintained, but the tour is do-it-yourself, starting at the Nature Center. You can obtain trail maps, and the fee is very reasonable.

A beautiful setting to get some exercise, learn about nature, a feel close to the seasons. The wooden walkway over the marsh is ideal for spotting turtles.

Visited broadmoor for the first time two weeks ago and couldn't wait to plan my next visit. Beautiful trails over water, through woods and through meadows. Waterfalls, streams. What more do you need?

Lovely place to go for walks, Trails are well marked and maintained. I have found Broadmoor to be just the place to go to de-stress myself while enjoying the peace and harmony of nature.

For quiet strolls, this is an awesome place to visit. There are trails for a bit more of a hike if that is what you want, which is what we do typically. The setting is beautiful and it is fabulous that places like this exist so close to the citified Natick shopping area. Lots of bird watching, and lots to see as the seasons change.
