Great place for a stroll or a photo shoot. Many brides/grooms use this location as it is so pretty. Groundskeepers really pay attention to this area, plantings are very nice and an active stream of water runs the length of the garden. Stop and enjoy!
This lovely park with lush green lawns and a nice little stream stretches from Jenny Grist Mill to Water Street. The trail goes along the water and then into the lawn area, where one can rest on a bench or watch the ducks. On any given morning you will find moms pushing strollers, toddlers feeding ducks, tourists enjoying the quiet.
Leisurely stroll the path through the garden, stopping at fountains, flower beds, statues and a little bridge that takes you over to another path that winds down to a saw mill.
The gardens are within walking distance of the town centre, and are well laid out and maintained, with a good selection of trees, shrubs, and lawns. The brook running through adds to the tranquillity.
Nice area to stroll around. Walk along the stream, watch the ducks and just breath in the beauty of this green space close to the water and downtown shopping
I love to stroll through this area after dinner. It is great to visit as a family or as a couple (I have done both). I picnic here in the summer. In the spring time the herring are running up the brook. Peace and quite. It goes right through the Jenney Grist Mill Museum and the oldest building in plymouth that is still standing. There is a beautiful pond that has snapping and painted turtles living in it. There are lots of birds that live in the lake. Don't forget some bread!
We walked through the Brewster Garden as part of a Jenny House walking tour, and received a history lesson as well as detail on some of the sights in the garden. Would make a nice area to just take a stroll, snap pictures, or see some of the early monuments, but I recommend seeing this area as part of the tour from Jenny House to hear some of the stories as well.
What a pretty little garden! Not far from the Mayflower II and Plimoth Grist Mill. Walk the path along the Eel River, it is an old Native American path so stop and read the plaques, very interesting.
My parents took their wedding pictures here many years ago and it still has its nice lovely little secret garden charm. Take a nice stroll and sit on a bench and take in the nice scenery!
Take a camera and go for a nice walk through a beautiful setting. it winds op to the Grist Mill and always a watering hole! Don't feed the ducks
Our family stumbled upon this beautiful place. The creek and the pathway lead right up to the Grist Mill. Great place to take in the scenery and meet some of the locals.
I always try and make time for a walk through the gardens. Parking at the top (at the Jenny Grist Mill) is free. Only takes a few minutes but its lovely and I love to photograph nature and there is always something in bloom or the water from the mill. Take the time for this, you won't regret it.
I hadn't really planned on hitting this attraction but it worked out well. We parked at the free parking next to the Grist Mill and walked through on our way to the waterfront. One of the highlights for us was seeing a mamma duck and her 3 babies. That wasn't on the map and I couldn't have predicted it. My daughter and I both took time to pause and enjoy. There were many other ducks in the water to entertain us as well. This seems to be a popular dog walking place as well. So if you have a dog, grab a poop bag and give your pet some exercise.I liked the landscaping and the statues and the chance to be away from the crowds that seemed to be everywhere else. Very peaceful.
Walk from Jenny Pond, along the river to Brewster Gardens. See the Pilgrim Lady and the Immigrant statue. Sit on a bench and enjoy the beauty. Don't miss Brewster Gardens when you visit Plymouth.
We parked by the Jenney Grist Mill (where parking was free) and walked through Brewster Gardens to get to the waterfront sights. It was more of a park - there weren't any formal flower gardens or anything, but it was nicely landscaped and made for a pleasant walk beside the river.
