Sturbridge的一个洲立公园 公园是免费的 不过如果想在里面扎帐篷过夜的话 需要交费 里面很安静很漂亮 非常适合散步 慢跑 休闲 里面还有不少烧烤架 可以烧烤吃

I camp here every summer. It's very quiet and the sites are large and private. I usually book early to get a site beside the pond. Nice hiking trails.

Wells State Park is a very basic campground, we are talking no electricity, no water at sites, but stations spaced out. Comfort stations located within walking distance, again basic but electrified & well maintained. Variety of sites, waterfront, wooded & remote. Tents, campers & motorhome accessible, new Yurts. Beautiful clean setting, trails( easy & challenging), excellent views. Pavilions for larger group events. Resident nature guide. Occasional Black Bears, and don't forget your mosquito / tick repellant...this is real camping.

Rolled in here with a 22' Travel trailer ( and the wife) for an overnight stop.Close proximity to the Turnpike was a bonus. This is a small campground WITHOUT hook-ups, but if you seek large secluded sites....this is the place. A quiet lake provides relaxing views and trails go off to who knows where.Large rigs ( 5-wheel or motor coaches) will have a difficult time here. Despite the map showingPull-Throughs, they are obstructed with natural growth or elevation change.Shower-houses are small and dated, but water is hot and they are kept clean. If ever in the area again, a stop here will be made.

This is a BEAUTIFUL park with a lovely lake and great hiking trails. Lots of birds, even saw a beaver on the outskirts. The park is well kept and the bathrooms were clean. There are campsites right on the water and you can even get a YURT! It's one of my favorite camping sites.

The location of this campground works well for us. It is very central and easy access to the Mass Pike. The campground is well maintained and the staff have been attentive to all of our needs. The sites are spacious and the pond has been wonderful for my children. It is more of a lake than a pond. It's huge with a beautiful beach. Access to the campground itself is safe and secure. I have comfort knowing the grounds are being patrolled 24/7. I recommend making reservations well in advance as it a very popular place. Thumbs up to a happy, fun, safe camping experience.

We stayed in sites 10 and 11 on a dirt road a short walk to the bathrooms and beach. Saturday night was mostly families, while Monday and Tuesday were more 20'somethings.The good:The sites were all large and relatively level, given how hilly the park is. We had a lovely view of the lake through the trees. There was lots of old growth trees with stone walls. Absolutely lovely. The bathrooms/shower were about as buggy as an average campground bathroom.Great location to explore Sturbridge Village, and close to super markets, gas and restaurants. There is a large Walmart and well stocked Stop and Shop on the road between the highway and park. There are no bears. The bad:The mosquitoes were so thick that it was unbearable! We were only able to be outside for short bursts, then hid in our tents. I wish we brought screens for the easy-up. The fire helped some and all the dragon flies helped down at the beach, but overall, even with many doses of bug spray, the mosquitoes ruined the trip. You couldn't hear the Pike traffic during the day, but at night, the noise was obnoxious and never ending. Not what I want to hear when I am camping. The small lake has some fast power boats which ruin a quiet paddle, but you find power boats everywhere. I just figured the lake was too small for boats with that much power. We have been spoiled with a camp store and playground at Nickerson in Orleans, neither of which they had here, but that is being nit picky.Tips:We stayed in the lower loop, closer to the beach. We highly recommend that loop over the other just because we like to be near the water. There are only two bath houses in the whole place and with the sites being so spread apart, it can be a walk to the bath house. So pick your site wisely if being close is important to you.Sites B, 15 and 16 are at the end of a dead end, making them quiet and secluded. You could have a louder evening and not disturb anyone around you. They are also close to the water. To me, site 25 was the most ideal site. Right on the water, large and level.Sites 17-23 are all up on a high cliff with no real way to get a boat out or swim. Lovely view though and close to the bath house.Since they won't be able to remove the large swamps which feed their mosquito population or the Pike which kills the quiet nights, we won't be staying here again with so many other good camping options nearby. It would be a good place to stay if you were only staying one night on the way to someplace else.

Wells State Park is a great camping destination. We stayed on site 17, level spot overlooking the pond and very private. There were no sites near us. The restrooms were not far, about 100 yards or less, clean and well maintained. Showers were hot and great pressure though there was only one for men and one for woman. That did not seem to be a problem though as the campground was not full. There were mosquitos, take precautions and do your homework as some of the sites are not that level. My opinion is that 17, 18, and 2 look to be the ones I would choose. Plenty do do in the area, Walmart and Stop and shop are within 4 miles.

We really enjoyed our time camping here and 100% plan on coming back. Good size sites, nice distance from each other, and the pond is fantastic. Next time we'll make sure to bring kayaks or rent stand up paddle boards. Also, I know bathrooms are not something people think of when "roughing it" but it is so great to have toilets and showers. The one reason I took a star off is because of the bugs. They have a little bit of standing water and we got eaten alive when we first got there. I would recommend this campground to anyone, just make sure you're fully stocked up on bug spray and citronella candles.

Campingtrips

We rented a yurt. When we arrived to the yurt, the staff came and "cleaned" the yurt for us. The outside of the yurt looked well kept, but the inside of the yurt was horrible. There were numerous amounts of spiders, cob webs, various bugs surrounding the inside of the yurt. It was disgusting. It was extremely hard to sleep with the thought of insects entering our bed. Dust and dirt were not swept up. If you plan on camping here, the yurts aren't in your best interest.

Wells Park is a great way to spend a nice day outdoors. The pond (I would call it a lake) has easily accessible swimming beaches that you can walk to or drive. The hiking trails are well maintained. In peak season there is a $2 parking fee. I did not camp there, but it looks like a wonderful place for camping with some of the sites on the lake.

Great. Hiking trails well marked and mapped. Good day hikes and the table rock trail leads to a stunning cliff side view of the valley below. Stop by BT'S Smokehouse for a great meal afterwards. Free entry to the park this time of year but looks like they charge in busy season.

Very well maintained state park. Nice camping area, small lake for fishing or paddling and lots of space for hiking. Close to the Mass Pike in central Mass so it is easy to get there but you will think you are "away from it all". Great place to enjoy nature for the day or for several days. Bonus..lake offers good ice fishing!

Dr office visit recommended and was it ever worth checking out. Good scenery and relaxation place just not well marked how to get to it.

We were in the area & didn't know what Wells State Park was. The woman at the gate told us we could drive through & look around, no charge, which we did. There's hiking trails, a nice lake with a clean beach & lots of camping sites. I imagine there's no hookups which isnt' for me but if that's your thing it looks like the sites were spacious & some had great views.
