Get your Tree early. They sell out quickly. A lot of weddings are held there. As I live less than a mile away I always look at the message board to see what names are posted for weddings, graduation or office parties. Close to route 146, 146a and 122.

The only guests that have ever been followed are those that have been repeatedly observed leaving the hall with empty glasses and returning with full glasses from coolers in car trunks. There are signs making it very clear that outside alcohol is not allowed. We have never yelled at anyone’s children. If we thought they were in danger we would have asked them to leave the DJ stage. 4 and 6 year old children playing on the DJ stage with electrical, microphone, and speaker wires would have prompted immediate action. The chance of electrical danger or a trip and fall from the stage is a very real safety hazard for 4 and 6 year old children. Not a situation in which a delay in action is advisable.

Two years ago our family started looking for a place for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. We found Arrowhead Acres online, and while we loved it, we were concerned about some of the reviews we read. We went to look at the venue and found the outdoor Chapel to be perfect for her ceremony and the inside to be perfect for the reception. We decided to book Arrowhead, and are thrilled that we did. To directly share our experiences regarding some of the concerns that were brought up by others;1. we did not find Dave or Vicky to treat us any differently once we put a deposit down. When I called with any questions (which I frequently did), Dave would almost always pick up cell phone immediately, and when he was not available, would get back to me within a day. Making appts to make additional visits was always easy, and we never felt rushed. Our caterer, who had never worked there before, also found them very easy to work with. Additionally, we later found out that our 17 year old daughter had been emailing Dave so that music could be added to her speech. She said that he always responded, and he continued to work with her so that her secret was kept. 2. Clean environment - we came in at 9am to begin to drop things off for our 4pm event. Several staff were already working on cleaning up the grounds in the Chapel area. 3. Setting up early/decorations - everything is written out clearly in the contract regarding what there were extra fees for. Because there was no event in the morning, Dave said that we could come in anytime after 9am. I did wish that we could have taken down a few of the decorations, as they were 'weddingish' but the expectations were clear, so we knew that this was not a possibility. 4. Hovering - During the event Dave and Vicky are in a room right off the reception area. I did not even see them during the event, however, when I needed to ask a question, they were easily available. To summarize, we had a wonderful experience. The reception area was ideal for our event, the chapel was perfect for the service and the bonfire and smores was the pefect end to a great evening.

I had my wedding here May 25th. It was nasty weather and they allowed us in at 9 am that day for our 6 pm wedding, which gave me plenty of time to micro manage setup and still get ready. My husband and I are both Army Aviation Officers, and they were extremely helpful and respectful with our military traditions ( the owners are both in the Coaat guard), and gave us a military discount (free rehearsal). They setup the chairs indoors in case we has to have the ceremony indoors, but god must have heard my prayers because at 6, it stopped raining with just enough time to have the ceremony in the beautiful outdoor venue. This venue is run by a couple of professionals. honestly I was amazed at how perfect it all was. The owners even came down on his birthday the week before so I could make sure the chair covers fit the chairs. I would have my wedding here again 10 times out of 10. Please reach out to me if you have more questions or would like to see more pictures. ( i submitted one above with the sabers) Brandy Hartz

My husband and I are so grateful to have found Arrowhead and to have had our wedding here! We live in Nebraska, and we were able to plan from 1500 miles away. They were accommodating with making time for my husband and parents to visit when we were in town. The place is BEAUTIFUL! I could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our outdoor/nature loving personalities. The guests also talked about how wonderful the site looked! The chapel in the pines, the provided decorations, the sound system, and the grounds were very well maintained. They provided just enough simple elegance to have our classy but outdoor wedding. We also loved having the options of the horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, and campfire! People loved it! The reception hall was also large and nice sized dance floor!Vicki and Dave and Cindy were easy to work with. Throughout the process, they answered questions, were present but not overbearing, and they ensured that from the rehearsal to clean up, our wedding went smoothly. They were even accommodating with providing extra time since there was not an even before us. We didn't need it, but it was extremely useful for people not to feel rushed! Three reasons why it's not getting 5 stars are minor and we were aware of: smaller bathroom stalls (goes with this type of venue though), no drinking water or ice on site (again goes with venue) so we worked around it with caterer and our own planning, and we loved that badminton had lights and wished horseshoes did too- then again we could have had afternoon ceremony and we didn't! One final reason: During the celebration, one of my uncles started the campfire (there were no signs) and Dave made a comment that made him feel uncomfortable. We 100% get that the fire needed to be watched due to insurance and myself and family knew it was going to be on a set time but the guests didn't. We resolved it by getting the fire for another hour and all ended finely! Without hesitation, we'd recommend this place to anyone! Perfect venue and great staff.

I was shocked to receive your complaints since we have such a fine record of past and current service with numerous testimonials to document that service. In addition we and our staff bent over backwards to provide you with more services than you paid for. We have received glowing testimonials from customers praising all the individuals that you and your son-in-law (via drastically distorted and inaccurate review in Trip Advisor) have complained about. One very positive testimonial praising everyone you complained about came in less than a week ago and is shown at the top of our testimonial list .The following is a summary of some of the abnormal events that were part of your daughter's wedding. Our staff went way beyond usual service for your family after you paid your bill.1. Setup time for centerpieces and decorations is usually 2 hours before the event. You were provided with 9 hours.2. Time to remove centerpieces and decorations immediately after the event is usually 1 hour. You took 2 hours immediately afterward, and additional time the next day.3. Our staff setup responsibility is to be sure the facility is clean and tables/chairs are set up properly per the instructions received from the bride a week before the event. The facility supervisor took it upon herself to offer additional time for your people to come in the following day to remove decorations, because we did not have another event scheduled (If we had another event that offer would not have been possible). She also offered advice to assist your people with setup based on her experience and observations from hundreds of other weddings. Your daughters decorations involved hundreds of pounds of sand, large containers, and large timbers. Unlike anything we've ever seen used for wedding decorations before.4. I told you that we would use our Gators to help you move the hundreds of pounds of sand that you brought into the facility. Your decorator originally told us that the sand would be placed back in the 5 gallon buckets they used to bring it in, and it would be removed by them. The decorator and buckets never materialized the following day. My staff attempted to move the containers with the sand still in them and could not. Based on that, I'm assuming there was 150-200 pounds of sand in each container. They obtained a two wheel dolly and offered that for your use since they could not lift the sand filled containers into the Gators (nor should they have attempted to). 5. My staff came to work Saturday morning expecting to only clean up after your daughter's wedding - not move hundreds of pounds of sand for you. The supervisor knows that no guests are allowed to drive any of the facility vehicles so she called me while off site, when you told her that I had said differently. At that time it was confirmed that you had misunderstood what I had offered. Since no one has ever asked us to dispose of hundreds of pounds of sand on the property she also confirmed where I told you that it could be dumped. I also explained to her that I was told that the sand would be in 5 gallon buckets. The usual times listed in number 1 and 2 above have never been drastically stretched by a customer before, and we never felt the need to include those limits in writing in the contracts before. As a result of the problems encountered with your event those time limitations will be listed in all future contracts.I'm sincerely sorry that you were not thrilled with your experience at Arrowhead Acres. Whenever there is a problem I go to great depths to determine the root of the problem and correct it. I'm hoping that the changes to the contracts will alleviate any future misunderstandings.

When the decorator called one or more days ahead of the wedding she was told that if she came in other than the day of the wedding she would be charged $50 per hour for an employee to be available, doors to be unlocked, alarms to be turned off, air conditioning, and lights too be turned on, etc.. If she came in the day of the wedding there would be no charge – she came in with assistants 9 hours before the wedding and was charged nothing. The bride and groom contract states “Wreaths, sconces, curtains, or other décor type facility decorations are very fragile and are not to be touched removed, or modified under any circumstances. Decorations may be added to the facility provided the existing decorations are not disturbed in any way or the facility damaged (ex. tape on paint, nails in walls, etc.)” The decorator was told of the restrictions in case she did not have a copy of the bride and groom contract and she worked without supervision for most of the 9 hours. There are no “do not touch” signs anywhere on the propertyThe banquet hall doors were closed while caterers were setting up and decorators were still assembling their decorations all over the floor. All guests were being directed to the chapel by a path that leads from the parking lot directly to the chapel. A woman with a baby came to the door and asked for directions to the chapel and she was directed to the chapel walkway with all the other guests. She never identified herself as the groom’s sister or that she wanted to go anywhere but to the chapel. Moments later she entered the hall and began socializing with the bridal party. The bar door was accidentally left unlocked and two people were found behind the bar in the area with the cash register, bar stock and other supplies with a cooler. They were dressed in casual clothes and not obviously part of the wedding party. They were politely told that they were not supposed to be in that area and they were asked to come out from behind the bar. At that time the bartenders had not arrived with their usual truckload of ice.The bride and groom chose not to have a rehearsal. Instead they chose to do a dry run just before the actual wedding while guests were arriving. The owners did everything possible make sure that the wedding and reception went smoothly and it did. There was no scornful eye but there was a lot of behind the scenes coordination. The facility supervisor made arrangements with the decorator to return the following day with their equipment to remove all the decorations. For some unknown reason the family of the bride chose to remove all the decorations that evening. That process took over two hours while guests and members of the bridal party socialized inside the hall and in the parking lot while 2-3 family members did all the work. After everything had been packed up and removed except several hundred pounds of sand the people socializing inside and in the parking lot were told that they needed to leave so that the lights could be turned off and alarms set. Approximately 1AM.Correction – It was several hundreds of pounds of sand that children at the reception thought would be fun to spread onto the dance floor.Since these arrangements were all different than the plans that had been made directly between the facility supervisor and the decorator she called the owner to confirm that it was OK to dump hundreds of pounds of sand in the back of the parking lot along with fiberglass containers. There were no dollies around – The equipment that was being requested were John Deere Gator vehicles that the groom evidently wanted to driveAs the decorator was setting up, she commented that “the banquet hall was elegant without additional decorations, but it was wonderful that we allowed brides to add decorations for their individual color themes”.No one was rude or uptight but the language used in this tirade is a good reflection of the source. The cleaning crew that came in to clean up the following morning was shocked at the abusive language and insults that they received (probably from the same person that wrote this review). We invite readers of this review to read a sampling of testimonials on our Testimonial web page http://www.arrowheadacres.com/testimonials.htm

We had our wedding here and everyone raved about how great it was. The owners were fantastic and helped with answers to every question we asked. The place is beautiful.

Most potential brides say the photos do not do it justice and the facility is much nicer than the website photos show. In our dozens of testimonials the customers rave about how beautiful the facility is and how nice and helpful the owners and staff are. During the slow season every winter the facility is spruced up if anything is showing the least signs of wear. If this reviewer is the person we think, they arrived without an appointment and drove past a large sign blocking the entrance that said "Closed and Alarms are set". The facility supervisor needed to race from her apartment when all the alarms were set off and was astonished that these people just drove past the sign.
