I recently participated in a team building session at this establishment. Our group of scientists has been working together for a couple years and we get together in Springfield for technical meetings 1-2 times a year. The evening before the latest meeting we all met at Q Pin2’s. It would be easy to dismiss the establishment as a simple pool hall. Yes, it has pool tables. But it also has a nice bar elevated over the main floor where the tables are. It has a side game room with foosball and a couple pinball machines. It does have nice pool tables as well. But, for our purposes, there were two rooms at one end that kind of resembled your basement or a game room. Our team had reserved these rooms for our get-together. There was a lovely woman (the owner I believe) who took care of us all night. We had two pool tables to ourselves and the adult refreshments were hand-delivered by the owner. After a few rounds of drinks and some pool it was time to sit down for dinner. A small buffet was setup that contained Tikka Masala, Chicken 59(?), rice, naan, and some salad. If you had told me that I was going to eat Indian food in a pool hall in West Springfield I would have thought you were crazy. The Masala was delicious (especially with real naan), the chicken 59 was spicy (and delicious), and everything else was great. I did not go hungry…let’s just put it that way. Our hose was great, chatting with everyone and making sure we were all fully sated with food/drink. After all that food it was a little difficult bending over to make a shot on the table but we did manage to get in a few more games. What this place is not, is a smoke-filled, loud music, filled with questionable characters, den of iniquity (not that that’s a bad thing). You can take your family here; girlfriend, the Pope, whatever, and you have a good (and safe) time. If pool’s your thing (or just a dalliance) try Q Pin 2’s. You’ll have a good time (and don’t forget to try the masala!).
Love the vibe, yummy food, and chill atmosphere. I really like it here, any day of the week. The staff is nice for the most part, and it's very average.
Fun place to kick back and relax after a long day. I have to say I feel they most certainly cater to a younger crowd, as the music is usually pretty new, and almost always VERY loud...There are dozens of pool tables to play at, enough so that even on a busy Friday/Saturday you usually don't have to wait. Depending on the drink, it can sometimes be a bit pricey, but the beers are reasonable. Haven't had the food yet, but I've heard good things. Pool prices are reasonable, and I've seen several leagues advertised. They also have a rather large attached outdoor patio for smokers, or for if you'd like to just sit outside with your drinks on a nice night. My favorite bartender is Dan, who's incredibly polite and knowledgable about drinks and mixology. I usually ask him to surprise me and make me something I'll like within a decent price range, and he's never disappointed me yet!
