Hit the Symphony to hear Jeans 'n Classics present the music of Michael Jackson. Have not been to an event there in some time and picked last Saturday night to go with friends. Public parking is under the highway and a short walk to the hall. Show your ticket and there is no cost. There is also valet parking offered for a small fee. Tickets varied in price, but we waited and purchased tickets at the door for a reduced price. We sat orchestra center in Row Z and paid only $20 per seat as opposed to the $65 they were asking on line. I don't think there are any "bad" seats there. Group is composed of a lead singer, guitar, bass, drummer, keyboard and three female back-up singers. All did a great job and with the symphony orchestra behind them it was an excellent, fun event. Beer, wine, soda, water and snacks are available. We purchased a couple of glasses of wine which were $7 each (acceptable). Recommended for a relaxed and very entertaining night.

Attending the Holiday Concert with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Lovely concert with great acoustics.....classically and tastefully decorated for the holidays. Only issue is the lack of parking especially for older adults or those with special needs the walk can be quite far.

The seats are incorrectly placed providing no leg room and making listening to even the best music an bad experience.

Have been there several times for the Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. It is a beautiful building, particularly when it is decked out with red carpet and lights. The inside facility is comfortable though the bathrooms are limited and downstairs making it inconvenient.

Architecturally, this building is spectacular. At one time, it was rated as one of the finest concert halls in the world, with extraordinary acoustics. Alas: in the 1970s, the City Fathers --- just to get their grubby hands on some Federal largesse --- ripped out the wooden floor and installed a concrete floor. There went the acoustics! They also installed some silly overhead plates over the stage, while ripping out the pipe organ in favor of an air-conditioning system.Truly pathetic. The great orchestras and performers from around the world who used to come there no longer come there.

Good Venue, very accessible, the only bad thing was the restrooms in basement and to many stairs to climb up and down

The hall is beautiful -- the seats are large, comfortable, and far apart. We got a chance to stand on the stage and look out to the seats after Ron's great show -- and it really is a gorgeous place. Springfield is "lucky" to have such a fantastic place, which I think seats 2700 or so people, to see a comedian, much less a full orchestra. We traveled 3+ hours by car for the show and it was sorth it.

Went to "bowfire" show last night, the presentation was electric . The violinists and stepdancers had the crowd clapping for more. We enjoyed the show very much. Parking was easy, close and only four dollars. We will go to other shows based on our experience last night.

We were given tickets to the Symphony as a birthday gift, it was a great gift, we had wonderful seats, the acoustics are great and the theatre is beautifully preserved. There was a reception in the Nutmeg Room after and the spread was beautifully prepared and delicious.

Wonderful acoustics and great offerings. I've seen so many great people and shows there. Maya Angelou and Jesus Christ Superstar were particularly memorable.

Went to a show at Symphony Hall recently - The show was great, and our seats were very good. The staff was a bit unorganized though.Everyone gathered on the stairs to Symphony Hall as would be expected. About 30 minutes before the show started one entrance door was opened. There are maybe ten doors at the entrance but only one was opened for people to enter. Everyone planning to attend the show now stood together in the lobby for another 15-20 minutes - many trying to make their way to buy show items and rushing to the restrooms.I overhead simple questions - where is "will call", what time can we make our way to our seats, what hall entrance should I use for my seat - that couldn't be answered by the staff. Our ticket taker didn't know how to operate the ticket scanner and couldn't find anyone to assist her - eventually another staff person made her way over and told the lady to just tear the tickets and retain half.Symphony Hall is lovely and we will definitely go there to see a show again. The staff, however, was very unorganized.Notes:The Hall really is not handicapped accessible but did have a handicapped entrance on the side of the building. There is a very small elevator that is used for those in a wheelchair. There is a brass railing around the balcony. Those seated in the very first row had to modify their seating positions in order to see over the railing. Row 2 is a better option.

Went there for Joe Bonamassa concert. Sound was great. Very nice looking concert hall. Will definitely go again.

Even though they have great cultural events, I won't go here again. I have paid good money for shows and then got seats with blocked views. I will go to City Stage or the Bushnel instead.

What a beautiful piece of architecture!!!! The inside is full of history and untold stories. A great place to see a concert or show.

We have season's tickets to the Springfield Symphony, so we are there often. The accoustics are wonderful. We should know - we sit in the "nosebleed" section! The sound is marvelous, as is the Springfield Symphony under the direction of Maestro Kevin Rhodes.
